Mercer County 21 Taylor County 0

Featured Replies

Nice win for Mercer to keep their playoff hopes alive, but they need to beat Boyle next week to get in. That'll be quite a tall task.

Any thoughts on the game from people that were in attendance? Taylor played Catholic tough last week, hangover from an emotional game possibly?

The weather played Lex Cath tough. Taylor beats a Marion Co team that was super emotional about the news from their head coach and everyone acts like they are world beaters. Come on people they are who they are. It's Taylor co football.

I'm waiting on OptionFootball and the others to remind me about how Taylor Co., after a close loss against Catholic in a quagmire is now "a force to be reckoned with" and how brilliant a move it was to fire all those other completely inept coaches so that they could become the new Boyle Co.

...wait, cue the "it takes time" comments.

And this year they are 1-5

...and they just blanked Taylor.

Just out of curiosity, all the credit for Taylor's two wins and close loss to Lex Cath have been given to the coach and the Superintendent's decision making abilities...will all the blame for tonight's loss fall on them too?

"Sleeping giant". "One of the best jobs in central ky". Lol

Taylor County is a bad football team. Nick Saben couldn't change that.

I dare you to go say that on the prediction thread for this game...

This just in!! They have put a freeze on building the 30 foot tall golden Dudley statue after his HUGE win over Marion Co.

:lol2: Amen Brother.

I will assume Peevler had a good night for Mercer.

I had this picked other way. This week's contest is going to be ugly.

Much like UK going to LSU and getting stomped we all know it will be growing pains. Much like UK Taylor has improved since Dudley came. And Marion Co. was 4-1 when Taylor beat them, so I believe Marion is a solid ball club. If they played 10 times yes Marion Co. would win most of the games I have no doubt about that. Taylor is improved just to be able to get lucky enough to stay close to Catholic no matter where the game was played. I don't know rather is hate for Dudley or love for coach Graves that keeps you from refusing to to give Dudley and Taylor co. any credit.

In central KY area close to Taylor co. besides the Hardin co. schools which jobs would you consider that much better than Taylor? Green, Adair, Campbellsville, casey, LaRue?

Maybe they will build one of Dale Estes up there at Campbellsville WHEN he gets a win noteworthy! thought they would beat green got smacked, thought they could stay with Danville got smacked.
