I think people are really anxious to replace HHS at the top and a loss to the Florida team and we will see a new NKY leader. If this Florida team proves to be a very good team, I do not think it will justify HHS dropping in the NKY poll. If this team shows they are better than HHS or SK, how do you justify a drop? However, I do not think many in the HHS fan base really care too much about the rankings and just the end results.

Couldn't agree with this more! It's important to others to see them "dethroned", but HHS could really care less.

 

I also agree with moving them or not. What I saw last year from that Florida team was a group of some very good individual athletes. But they were an avg team. I know that's only one team, but anytime you have outstanding athletes, you can have outstanding games. So I really have no idea what to expect with this group. Always fun and exciting to get chances to see other states teams and I love that HHS has the opportunity to do this.

That seems like a bit of a generalization. I'm pretty SK's actual players and coaches desire to be state champions rather than #1 in a poll. Fans are a different story.

That is very true, but to be fair (and I can't believe I'm saying this) who is to say if the Fla team beats Highlands they are also better than SK? That's quite an assumption.

I think SK has already made a pretty strong argument to be #1 right now. SK and Highlands are a whole lot closer than many want to believe.

NCC has played or will play No's 2,3,4,5 and 7. That is why when they get to the district they are ready for teams their own size, and do so well.

 

 

It probably helps a little but I think it has much more to do with their district being pretty bad since the realignment.
