It is hard to say because of the disparity in the schedule between Male and Trinity. The worst team Trinity has played this year is Cincinnati Colerain. The best team Male has played is Ballard. Colerain would beat Ballard by 3 TD's. Male is blowing everyone out. Trinity and every team they have played would be undefeated against Male's schedule. Male's strength of schedule to date is about the same as Simon Kenton's, and we all know how SK gets pounded on their schedule. Would Male beat anyone Trinity has played? Is Male on Trinity's level? If I am ranking the teams, I put Trinity ahead of Male just because Trinity has played such a high level schedule and performed very well against it.

I put BG ahead of Trinity so if Trinity is going to be nominated for best team in the state I am officially nominating BG for best team in the state.

We will see Friday night "Dream" Machine. Male has a great team no doubt and the odds on favorite to win the 6A title, but anyone who thinks Meade cant match up or win friday is in dream land.

If Trinity wins out and takes 6A undefeated in KY, then I give them the nod to return to their throne. Until then, I rank BG, Trinity, Male, and Manual all pretty much in the same boat with Scott Co., Highlands, and St. X existing right on the edge of the conversation.

HAHAHA. The best offense in the state is in Caldwell County. Way too many weapons to defend. NOBODY has that much talent on the offensive side of the ball.

I heard but cannot verify that Male beat Meade County tonight 17-0.

Just heard they shutout a very good Meade team, holding them to 4 first downs, while running 82 plays and gaining 261 yards rushing. And this is a powerful passing offensive team. They get my vote, even before playing the super-regional threesome the next three weeks.

Is more difficult to over come the physcial aspect or the emotional aspect of beating both X and T in back to back weeks?

 

Seems to me that having done it twice last year would remove the "novelty" aspect of it this year. Playing X at home after the Tigers' win over Trinity should help the Bulldogs for Friday.
