Flu shot

The under educated right wingers are the ones who usually pass on getting the flu shot. Dumb!

Saw 3 young men under the age of 40 die from complications from the flu last year. The benefits from receiving the flu shot greatly outweigh any small side effects.

Sorry but I am not under educated. I wont even say what I would like to say. But please do go get your flu shot, 1 less person for the world to feed later on.

Does every decision you make in life depend on what answers you find when you google the queston?

Not really, I have read a lot of medical journals and actually did a lot of research and talked to more thana few DRs. Most agree not to get flu shot. But what does a DR know.

Are you an ER doc?

I'm willing to be that more than 2/3 of physicians would recommend that their patients get the flu shot. Still Thinking About Not Getting A Flu Shot? Think Again. | CommonHealth

No.

I have been getting the flu shot for the last 5 years and have never suffered any side effects and haven't had the flu in that time. I plan on getting one this month.

So do you believe it since you google it and it says YES

No I believe it because I work with highly trained, highly educated physicians every day. They all take the flu shot, and all recommend everyone take the flu shot.

Dr. Donald Miller, a cardiac surgeon and Professor of Surgery at the University of Washington, recommends avoiding the flu shot and taking vitamin D instead. According to Dr. Miller, “Seventy percent of doctors do not get a flu shot.”

Health officials say that every winter 36,000 people will die from it. But the National Vital Statistics Reports compiled by the CDC show that only 1,138 deaths a year occur due to influenza alone -- more than 34,000 of the “36,000? flu deaths are actually pneumonic and cardiovascular deaths.

There is also a lack of evidence that young children benefit from flu shots. In fact, a systematic review of 51 studies involving 260,000 children age 6 to 23 months found no evidence that the flu vaccine is any more effective than a placebo. But there is also a risk of harm from the flu vaccine itself, particularly from the mercury, aluminum, and formaldehyde it contains

This is fun.

Most hospitals are making it mandatory for all employees. But what do they know?

And for crap's sake, we have people that think beheading is a good idea. If you look on the internet long enough you can find an "expert" that will try to debunk any subject.
