How so?

NamecipS saying Boyle County moves up to #4 after CovCath's loss is laughable and Walter hyping up CovCath stands out to me. Also the sentiment that there is nothing to play for in 4A because Highlands beat CovCath is still very present as well. It's not so much that it is said but it is the tone that comes with it that set it off.

Highlands could have easily been up 35-0 at half had a couple of play calls been different. I was truly surprised at how they destroyed Covington Catholic. That said, if their is a rematch, yes Covington Catholic will be better; but so will the Birds. Until someone dethrones them this year they get the number 1 slot. Period.

I think you're reading too much into their posts.

I stand by my comment that Covcath is still a damn good team and better than those who haven't seen them are giving them credit for.

You know me PP. ..I have no dog in this fight. Others in here have a bias toward one team or another. I'm just calling it how I see it and that's that Covcath is still capable of beating the teams ahead of them and that Highlands win over them is more impressive than the Western KY teams TN scores.

Bowling Green is good but a coach very familiar with them told me they are no where close to the level they've been the past few years.

Hahaha, just havin fun with 2tone. Pulled a "he who walks behind the rows" impersonation. I have no idea where teams should be ranked. I get my info here and from a few friends around the state.

I do think people might be reading to much into the "Highlands is down" talk. They're still very good and getting better.

Heck BG's down and they'll probably still win the trophy.

Boyle can be #2. I agree with Walter, CovCath's still pretty good. A CovCath/Boyle matchup would probably be a very good game.

I take them all at face value.

CovCath has to show and prove for me. Just like everyone else has to do. As of now I haven't seen much from CovCath.

BG is 5A and yes they are down compared to the past few years and yes they are still the favorite to win in 5A. That's teh same for Highlands and Trinity every year. The BG program has arrived.

It'd be even more impressive if CovCath hadn't been massively overrated and according to all accounts from people at the game didn't even show up to play. Not hard for a team to beat another team 42-7 when the other team quits at halftime.

I don't have time to look up the specifics, but it wasn't that long ago that another overrated team came to the fort in the playoffs and did the same thing, but it wasn't called "quiting" it was called "being gassed." Sound familiar? :sarcastic:

That's all I am saying. Boyle is currently the #2 team in 4A.

Nope. It was the first game of the season and Highlands fans are the ones who had to convince me that Boyle County was gassed because I didn't buy it initially. After long arguments and solid proof from the Highlands contingent as well as watching that team all season long I understood what they were saying more and more.

I'll also add that Boyle County was not an overrated team. It was the first game of the year and we knew nothing about them. All season long they proved to be who we thought they were. Good team but not better than LexCath.

Good try though. :lol2:

Owensboro gave BG all they wanted and BG is still impressive. I think their speed compares favorably to Highlands and if they could keep their heads, could give the Birds all they want.

I think Chuck Smith has BC believing again and that is a dangerous thing. Versus Highlands, I think Coach Smith could keep the Bluebird legend out of the players heads.

Followers of these teams (not necessarily their rabid fans) could also give other objective answers to this question.

If Highlands was some Johnny Come Lately Team I would be moved more by your argument but I just don't see it.

With the above said Owensboro does intrigue me. On Boyle, I can't get excited yet.
