Beechwood is better this year than they were last year. Franklin County is not as good this year as they were last year. Beechwood was in control most of the game last year at Franklin County. McCaskell is not there to rescue the Flyers this year. This year at Beechwood, I will predict Beechwood 28 Franklin County 14.

Franklin County wins. Every coach in the state knows how to attack that ridiculous defensive scheme that BW continues to try to run, just not all have the horses to be successful at it. FC does, look for them to exploit the edges vs the BW run D and rack up huge yards.

Franklin County couldn't rack up huge yards last year with much better backs. Why will they be able to do that this year?

Franklin County defense giving up less than 150 ypg. This looks to be a very tough game for the Beechies.

All comes down to who can run the football.

 

If BW can run the ball with success then I think they have a good chance to win the game. If they cant they lose.

 

If Franklin isnt able to run the Football with success I think they will be in trouble.

 

Either way think it will be a good high school football game and the winning margin will be 7 points or less.

If FC is not as good as last year I don't see why Beechwwood should not win this game. I'm not sure that Oldham County and Western Hills compare to Dixie and Mt Healthy. Saw some video of FC and not sure what to think. Some plays they look awesome and some they look terrible. Not sure what Beechwood has done to fix the hole created at linebacker last week but I assume they will use one of the D ends.

I actually like the Tigers' chances in this one.

 

Mostly for the reason the EOT stated. Little Better BW and Not as good FC. Kyle Feiger was struggling until after this game last year. If he maintains composure and takes the yardage the FC defense allows, they will be in good shape. Beechwood needs better line play to get the Run going.

This game is huge. Not necessarily for the team. It isn't a district game. It will be a good benchmark as to where the Tigers are right now and their odds in the playoffs, especially since Frankfort played Franklin County last week. But we all know a lot can happen between now and the playoff regional championship. No, this game is huge because of the peanut gallery - that group of fans who have never really been a fan of Rash and think the 90's dominance is going to come back (it isn't; different times and competition today). The peanut gallery complaints are getting a little more traction with last year's first ever loss in the 6 class era before the state semifinals. They feel emboldened because of the Tigers not getting to a title game in several years. This game is huge because it will impact that gang's arguments. If the Tigers lose, even though on paper this should be a loss for Beechwood, then they will start barking again and they may get the ear of another parent or two. If the Tigers win, then they lose credibility. A Tiger win won't eliminate them. Heck, if the Tigers somehow won 40-7, they still would be there, waiting for their next opportunity to pounce. If the Tigers win another state title, they will still be there. But a win in this one moves them aside to their little huddle to talk amongst themselves where they will say just wait till the Cov Cath game when they likely will once again get to bark.

You have now moved to blindly defending category. Heck, I barely have PM conversations about it here, Yet alone outside of BGP. I'm not out trying to recruit Rash Bashers nor do I know anyone else that is. You certainly are no better than those you criticize. You will always retreat to your "On-Paper, BW should lose" defense. What you fail to consider is that people have their own eyes and after years of the same crap get them opened quickly. Very few adjustments, lack of preparation, crappy play calling, or most importantly, almost ZERO player development make it so that no recruiting is necessary, the "Peanut Gallery" grows organically with fertilizer that Rash and crew produces. I have said publicly on here many times, I do not want Rash gone. I don't think he is the true problem. Well, except for the fact that he is head coach and allows it to continue. I would like him to push the reset button on his staff. The infighting on the sidelines at the Dixie Game and afterwards is a clear indication that things are not good.

My post had nothing to do with you nor was it meant to insinuate anything about you. I guess you made that assumption because my post followed yours? If I was directing any of that toward you, I would have quoted your post in my post. You know what they say about assumptions. If you had any thought that was about you, it would have been better to PM me or ask me in thread. It would have saved you a lot of writing.

I proudly put myself in that General group and I was responding to post in general, not specific to me. I don't speak for other people, so I expressed MY position as it pertains to the certain pieces.
