Do not know if the California high school in question does, but that may explain this Chick-fil-A decision.

I would love to see the proof behind this! I have studied Mr. Cathy for years and the gentlemen was nothing but class in all of his practices. He has a very strong faith based approach and apparently that bothers a lot of lesser individuals. But I cannot imagine him attacking a particular group as you have said so I would love to be proved wrong because I have never ran across anything remotely close.

You are correct, and your point is valid. Every school has the option to reject either Bill Gates or Dan Cathy, or anyone else with an offer of assistance. If a taxpayer in the school district is uncomfortable with any donation -- or with a school administrator's decision to accept or reject said donation -- then that resident taxpayer can take his or her case in front of the elected school board.

 

I think where your argument stumbles is that many see Cathy's message as one of intolerance, and Gates' message as one of inclusion.

 

By the way, I believe that the opposition to Chick-Fil-A on the college level mainly has been student-driven, not administration-driven.
