No, unless it is a district rule. You can have a site manager from my understanding.

New to the soccer site, but I was thinking the same thing about administration being there. Interesting. Before the red card was given did the center ref consult the side official? Just curious.

There was a play on sideline right in front of fans were Campbell player went down, jumped up and got right into HHS players face. Ref came over and stoped it right away. I totally agree with you about HHS D, it has been problem from start but getting better. Some young players still learning, but speed does help get you back in play when you make mistake, can not coach speed. HHS was tied with ND until last minute of game when they had major D breakdown, I would call that a contender.

But you fail to mention that in the game against Notre Dame, the score could have easily been 4 or 5 to one due to missed opportunities by the Pandas.

I am failing to understand what this has to do with the Campbell vs HHS game???? Don't try to minimize the Bluebirds performance against the Pandas. HHS had NDA on their heels and NDA scores a great goal with less than a minute left. They both had some missed chances. That game could have been 3-1 Highlands just as much as 3-1 NDA.

OTB84 doesn't spend much time at the girls' games so he isn't familiar with players names/numbers. I am not incuding them as to not make a mistake.....feel free to fill in the blanks....

 

Very exciting game to watch. St H scored early on a left footed cross that was guided in. Dixie put in the next two , one on a break away and I can't remember the other scenario...sorry....St Henry tied it up I believe on a cross that was headed and saved by the Dixie keeper but unfortunately for her to a St Henry player that sent it to the corner.

 

Both keepers player extremely well..........and they sure were needed because to EXTRA TIME it went....

 

Two 5 minute halfs in OT, but no goals........and to PK's it went.....

 

First five.....all very good shots (two off the bar) and a great save by the St H keep.......meant sudden death PK's

To match it....Dixie player hits crossbar.......unfortunate

 

Tears and smiles .......but I hope both teams realize that in the long run, this experience will help them both down the "road to state."

You have no clue to who got the card on the bench. The Campbell County Head Coach is a class act' date=' in fact he lives in Ft Thomas, he is a very respected man in the soccer community. The coach that caused the yellow card asked question and the middle referee carded her after the red card. So calling this an embarrassing situation for the school you are off base. Why not discuss the problems that are going on with what has happen with the head coach at Highlands the last few weeks. [/quote']

Really....excited for a loss??? I don't think they were excited about a 2-1 loss. Fans of the Birds may have been satisfied with the outcome but the players sure weren't happy and that's who it matters to most.

If Campbell County, played down a player due to a red card, why didn't Highlands destroy them (2-0 is a close match) (11 players vs. 10 players)? Or did they dominate and the score does not represent the actual action? Sounds like both teams played hard (physical) (it is a contact sport) and was a close game.

Highlands dominated possession but the Camels packed in their defense and midfield and looked for two players up top to counter attack with. I will give Camels credit for the good D after going down to 10 players. Camels have shown they are a tough team with some of their early season wins, doubt they were ever going to get destroyed even with 10 players.

What are thoughts about coaches getting a yellow card? I personally like coaches who are willing to fight for his or her team when an injustice is perceived. Not a fan of coaches who just stand or sit (in any sport) while the game/match is going on. There is a difference however of belittling a ref and asking constructive questions. Why does it seem like soccer is so intolerant of questioning a call or even having a crucial call (Carded call red or yellow) explained to both sides?
