According to the news today, $1.4 million operating profit last year. Curious to see what that means for civic bonds backing the project. It was just a knee-jerk reaction from me when I saw a cardinal get changed to a cardinal and wondered "what for"? The change of the logo in the center of the court is what will get people's attention. But what really changed ... and it is SIGNIFICANT ... the "A" in the lane now says "ACC". HUGE change!

HUGE change! If I really cared, which I really don't and I was comparing old court to new, I'd say visually the new court has a cleaner, smarter, less busy look about it than before. "Significant" is a real subjective word spawning various levels and degrees of thoughts regarding whatever the topic. Regarding this topic, I mindlessly made an initial comment not thinking where it would lead involving those whose feelings of significance towards the matter are at a much higher and stronger level than I originally considered possible. Sorry to have offended anyone who have such a close personal emotional involvement and attachment with logos on a basketball floor. I'm wondering if that interest is in floors in general, or just basketball floors that have a cardinal painted on them? If so, and if it helps any, when I'm outside and I see cardinals flying about I typically admire their bright red beauty and consider them to be a fantastically interesting bird that adds visual stimulation to my outdoor experience. Women's Basketball has played in the National Championship game and been to the Final Four another time, both in the last five years. Just picked up the #1 recruit in the country yesterday in Asia Durr.

On a side note to those whose cardinal feathers I ruffled earlier on, from the very beginning of the thread I stated that I thought that the time lapse thing was cool. Of course I should have just left it at that. :lol2:

That thing can actually be pulled all the way up to the roof. There is a square "cut out" in the rafters so it can be pulled up into the structure of the roof.
