What problems do you have with 6-10?

Just wondering how many games does a team half to lose in order for them to "lose" status in the BGB's ranking?

 

Obviously, BGP's thinks KY does not play very good football or question #1 would not even have to be asked?

 

I realize this is just a Poll, so I viewed and commented, it all doesn't mean anything till the post season. Glad to see the season off and running. Shaping up as a real good season for many and basically wide open . . .

What team are you upset about?

Im not upset about any team or ranking. Just wondering how BGP's views losses to out of state teams? The CJ for years said that "all games against out of state competition were not counted or considered in the LIT ratings". Same disclaimer used for 40+ years. . . Fast forward to the 2K era, and some teams dont play KY competition until the seventh game of the season. Seems to me, that these teams should be void of any ranking until some valid data supports their results vs. KY competition. The CJ has ignored their own disclaimer and I find that funny as can be. . . What criteria does BGP's use to make their ranking? Is it basically a personal observation and "feeling" that team C is better than team A?

I would rank Manual above X...and maybe T. Manual certainly has better high end talent than both, but the coaching of T I would have to say probably keeps them ahead.

BGP has a very knowledgable staff that represented all areas of the state and all classes that know Kentucky High School Football. Those people put in countless hours looking at teams and determining how teams stack up to other teams in their class. All games, and data recovered are used to make this determination (In-state competition, out-of-state competition, injuries, games against other ranked opponents). At the end of the day, teams are judged by what they are expected to do against other teams in their class.

 

That is why the BGP rankings are often seen as the best ranking produced around the state.

SK should be at #5.

The rankings look good. Kind of like past years where it was Trinity and everyone else, this year it is Male and then everyone else. Manual has been hyped up a lot this year, but I will not put much stock into them until they can knock of X and T.

Don't see how Meade can drop from 6th to 7th. 2-0 and only 6A team...to hold their opponents scoreless.

I think the rankings are solid. Spots 1-5 will become more clear in the weeks ahead.

Going to be very interesting seeing them play Central Hardin this year. Best Central Hardin team in many years and they are very physical too.

Still early so these look fine. I might move Central Hardin up to 7 based on their big win against John Hardin.
