Dixie had one of their best teams in a while last year and only won by 3 touchdowns against a so-so Beechwood team that struggled to play consistent football throughout the season. Dixie came out flat and stayed flat against Cov Cath last week, whereas Beechwood came out flat against a tough Mt. Healthy team last week and then came out swinging in the second half and gave Mt. Healthy a heck of a game in the third and fourth quarters. You really think that puts Dixie at a 3+ touchdown advantage over Beechwood?

I agree that Dixie is going to try to ground and pound the Tigers like they did last year. This will be a good test for the guys up front for Beechwood.

Those stats show that the issue last year for Beechwood was not that list of names. It didn't matter who Dixie handed the ball to last year. It was the offensive line of Dixie that ran through Beechwood's defense. How many of those guys graduated?

Dixie Glass Half Full approach: Dixie played a really good team and special teams got them in the hole early. It's only one game. Moore is a stud athlete and playmaker.

 

Dixie Glass Half Empty: Passing game is poor. Pass D is struggling. Too dependent upon one player.

 

BW Glass Half Full: Lost to a really good team in what turned out to be a close game. Passing game will dominate Dixie. Dixie will seem slow compared to MH.

I think the outcomes of last year's games and last week's games will have absolutely no bearing on the outcome of the game this week.

 

Dixie is not as bad as they looked last week.

After watching Drew Moore last week, I put 8 in the box if I'm BW and make him pass the ball. I believe there are two NKy 6A teams better than Beechwood and if Dixie cannot win this game, they will be battling Ryle to stay out of the basement.

I agree. I think McKown only going one way this year will make a big difference in his productivity at DT. Our linebackers are more experienced. If you are looking for an indicator early on what might happen in this game, watch Dixie running the ball versus Beechwood.
