I'm going out on a limb and taking The Panthers in a very close game early off.. I say Panthers score first and let Lincoln County get on the board twice including a 2pt Conversion. 15-7 at halftime. Then I look for the Panthers to come out after the half and grab this game by the throat and run up the score late in the 4th, 32-21 victory for the Panthers starting off 1-0. :ylsuper:

I should be at this one during the 4th quarter. I hope it is a close game when I get there.

Frankfort 35-28.

All depends how the Pats play on the edges, FHS is not as good as the pats up front on the offensive side, but the defense is sound in that area. Out at the skill spots FHS is pretty impressive, see if a new coach has the pats ready for the speed here.

LC 28- FHS 14:sssh:

Frankfort's speed will be too much for Lincoln's defense. LC offense not in sync this early with new coach!

Panthers 44

Patriots 18

Tall Trees....It aint about the Number of Coventional Soldiers within a Unit, It's the Number of Guerrilla Fighters within the Unit.....The Durty 30 Fully UNDERSTANDS Who they are, and HOW to Carry Out a SIEGE.......:taz:

Only on paper.

Agreed.

That's the battle cry used by many smaller schools when they play bigger ones.

Lincoln County is one of the most spread out counties in our state. You can drive 30-45 minutes and still be within the county lines.

Before the middle school came a long 20 years ago or so, they use to get several more of those kids out in the really rural parts of the county, but since it's become more and more like Stanford Football @ Lincoln County High School.

I'd go so far as to say that Lincoln County is probably a 2A (3A would be pushing it) school in terms of the areas that they are actually able to get kids from.

Should be a good one, nonetheless.

With humid weather the last couple of days and the mild summer how will temps play a role tonight.

Lots of cramps!

As much as I am pulling for Travis in his opener at Lincoln, I am afraid that their scrimmage might have sent the wrong message. I know that West Jessamine is very weak this year and at times by beating an opponent this easily can be a negative going into that first game against a quality opponent like Frankfort. Still pulling for Lincoln in this one, but very nervous.
