Newport Central Catholic/Holmes scrimmage

Featured Replies

This game is now being played at Holmes tomorrow night (Aug. 15th) at 7:00.

Was originally scheduled to be played at Beechwood.

Sounds like the Breds still have a lot of positions still undecided.

Your guess is as good as mine. Do have some info you'd like to share?

Lawnboy, stop up in the press box and say hi, might even treat you to a popcorn

Sounds like they still have to scramble to find a surface. Ncc would be wise to start about a dozen jrs in the 22 spots.

Speaking with a Breds coach the other day up on the hill and he said its still a 3 man race for starting qb. All 3 are talented and could start for many teams in nky. Going to be tough tonpick who gets the start come week 1. This scrimmage will be a big night for the QB spot.

Who has the lead at the qb position? :idunno:

A few short weeks ago, I was told that Schilling was the man.

A lot happens in a few short weeks..... we'll see. It will be week to week unitl one of the candidates shows some consistency before district play.

Score?

3-0 NCC late in 3rd quarter.

Unfortunately, Sr. Grant Schilling (QB/DB), broke his tibia in the 3rd quarter tonight while making a tackle, out for the year. He started the game at QB tonight.

That really sucks to hear. I wish him a speedy and full recovery.
