Compared to most other pizza? Sure.

I think of Bearno's crust as something altogether different. No thin crust pizza could handle all the toppings that a Bearno's crust does.

True enough. It definitely resides in tweener land.

If you're ever in Lawrenceburg. There's a little place called Edwardo's. Their Chicago pie is very similar to Giordano's.

Never had their Chicago style...didn't even know they had it and I eat there quite often, just ate there Sunday as a matter of fact. Good food, but even better community involvement...those guys do it right.

Well you'll have to try the pie. I think they just call it Italian Pie.

They are great for the community.

Thin or I probably won't eat it. I really like Guiseppe's in Covington and Newport Pizza. I also like Pasquale's and LaRosa's

Usually eat the buffet, but have ordered off the menu a time or two. I take it they don't put the Chicago style on the buffet...at least I've never seen it when there. Will have to check it out next time cause I really enjoy a good Chicago style pizza when the mood strikes.

Yep, that's good eating there.

I voted thin, but I like my crust somewhere in between. I hate a thin cracker crust but I like a crisp crust that is chewy, not crumbly.

Wish that I could answer "thin or thick" and just leave it at that, but we all know that's not gonna happen, don't we?

Thin for sure... I admittedly love to indulge when it's pizza time (but then again who doesn't?)

Thick dough ruins the chance to indulge by delivering too much starch in just a couple of slices, then it's game over, and also takes away from the ingredient's combinations of flavors that draw me to pizza in the first place.

Too much dough throws the joy of pizza out of balance, and is the cause of any heartburn or stuffed feeling that I experience later.

Thin crust done right, but not over done turning it into a burnt cracker is the preferred choice for the perfect delivery system for the optimal pizza pie with its tasty fresh ingredients.

On a side note:

It bewilders me how pizza joints push breadsticks and sauce as an appetizer before the main event of the pizza, that is again bread and sauce etc... ,and follow it up with the suggestion of a dessert of cinnamon breadsticks.

Seriously?

Someone there has unashamedly tried to pull a fast one, all for the sake of sales, by trying to set a standard for the pizza experience by implying to gullible pedestrian diners that they haven't completed the experience if they haven't stuffed themselves blind on bread every step of the way during their visit.

Sure, no one's holding a gun to anyone's head forcing them to buy into this concept, but through advertising undoubtedly they've found enough suckers out there to fall for it who will end up paying for it three times, first in their purchase, secondly in their pizza night induced coma, and thirdly in their overall long term poor health.

It was a simple question, Thick or Thin.

What's the name of the Pizza joint down the street from Trinity HS? Me, Daddy's Little Girl 1.0, & Walter got some good eats in there last year prior to the NewCath/Trinity hoops game.

Had Pasquale's thin crust tonight. A solid 3.5 stars out of 5.

All of them are in Louisville and all of them are in my neighborhood. They're my primary pizza destinations. Very rare I have pizza from anywhere else... probably once per year. Impellizeri's is FANTASTIC. That's probably my favorite pizza in Louisville. There are three around town. Hand-tossed crust overflowing with tons of toppings (that's the Louisville style). Papalino's in a New-York-style joint that sells primarily made-to-order slices. Bearno's is a Louisville institution. There are several of them around the city. Thinner crust but also pretty well loaded up on the toppings. Wick's has several locations as well. Probably most notable (at least in my mind) for never skimping on the cheese. Good heavens are those things loaded with cheese.
Wick's and Bearno's need to move aside and let in Coal's and Boombozz. Papalino's and Impellizeri's are fantastic though. To make it a solid five, I'm throwing in one of the most under appreciated slices of pie in the 'ville, Comeback Inn (everything else there is fantastic as well). I always opted for something else off the menu until I moved a block away and finally tried the pizza, DAMN, very, very good.

In all fairness, Wick's and Bearno's are both very solid pizzas.
