Chiefs 41 Bengals 39

Campbell struggling is why they signed Tyler Wilson today. Would be nice to see McCarron step up and take the #2 spot.

Campbell was added due to the fact he performed well for Hugh in Oakland. If AJ2 is good enough he will be toting the board for a few seasons while in stripes.

No it isn't. They signed him, because Campbell is too dinged up to practice and they need a third arm/body to play QB in camp. Doubt he lasts the next two weeks.

^ My thoughts are exactly the same as Skinny. Especially considering it looks like the Bengals are going to keep three QB's during the season which means there probably won't be room for a practice squad camp arm.

Reading today it looks like they may PUP or IR McCarron and go with two QB's and could probably slide Scott to Practice Squad. That 2nd will more than likely be Campbell, if he isn't too badly injured. This will allow them to keep an extra RB, OL, or DL. That player would probably be a ST contributor. It is hard to cut Peerman, he is so effective on ST. Stil a long way to go. There will be injuries before the season starts, just never know where.

McCarron will be out for awhile and they need QB's in camp. this has nothing to do with Campbell struggling in the game.

I'm just not sold on Campbell even as a backup. There is a reason he couldn't stick with any team as a starter. I wouldn't mind if he and Tate were on the same bus out of town.

Agreed. I haven't liked Tate his entire tenure here. Every time he touches the ball I feel like there is a 50/50 chance of him fumbling. I like the Campbell sign at first but he looked terrible last night. Going to give him the benefit of the doubt with it being the first preseason game with a new team. If he looks half that bad the rest of the preseason it will be hard to keep him and have any sort of confidence in him.

I agree with the Tate thing, I hope his time here is over. I am not sure what you mean about the fumbling thing though? Tate didn't do many good things here, but the one thing he did do was he didn't really turn the ball over. Since he has been the returner when people kick off or punt to us even though he may make stupid decision on where to catch the ball, we usually were guarnteed to still have the ball.

As for Campbell he sucked the other game. However for now I like him much better as a backup than any other backup we have had in many years. Which is saying something about how bad the other backups were lol

Very true. It was the Campbell injury in the game for why they went and signed another QB this week just to take some reps. McCarron is probably heading to IR for this season if I had to guess.
