Dick's Last Resort?

Everyone that goes into DLR knows what they're getting themselves into.

I have zero sympathy for people who think the servers were rude/crude. That's the whole point of the place. Never ceases to amaze me what people will complain about.

From everyone I've talked to, it's way overpriced. I also know of a couple people that left after getting drinks as they couldn't put up with the servers.

It's definitely not a place for kids. My wife went with the kids and some friends on a Wednesday for lunch after catching a movie. I've had to answer questions from an 8 year old that I never planned on having to answer. I know some relatives were not happy with the things placed on their middle school aged kids when they went to dinner.

I did forget about the overpriced part. It is very overpriced. I think the wife and I dropped close to $100 for dinner there. It was outrageously overpriced for not very good food.

I have absolutely no desire to go there to eat but I could definitely work there!

I've been to a few DLR in different places; we usually take a few couples with us and enjoy it for what it's worth.

Best hat I've ever seen in a Dicks: Older lady lets 75+ hat says: my crotch is so dry my crabs ride dirt bikes.:ylsuper:

Never been, have no desire to go. Not sure why anyone would..
I'm with you. I've heard enough about it to know that I would not enjoy that. I understand the concept, and have no desire whatsoever to participate.

I agree with this 100%. You made your bed, lie in it.

If you and the guys are looking to go out, this is not the place. Food absolutely sucks, even the appetizers, (which are kind of hard to screw up) Atmosphere is loud, dark, crowded, and messy. If you have kids aged 8-18 - go, they will enjoy the "show". Better yet, drop off your kids and their friends, and you go somewhere else. Everybody wins that way.

Been to the one in Myrtle Beach. I could work there and have a blast.

I'll likely never go back to one because the food sucks and is overpriced IMO. I love the atmosphere but not enough to pay for it and get crappy food.

Teenage kids, probably. 8, 9 , 10, I don't know. My 8 year old came home asking:

"why does my brother's hat say he was a mistake?"

"what does it mean mom fell asleep in sex ed?"

"what does it mean when someone has E.D.?"

"what does premature ejaculation mean?"

Not quite the questions I want my 8 year old asking.

There's a few on here I could see working there:thumb:

My daughter came home with the stupid "hat" that they give you that said something about having taken more balls to the face than an NBA backboard. Totally not appropriate for a teenager, IMO.

Teenagers say and hear worse on social media, little different when it is coming at you live and in color. The Myrtle Beach one made that look tame, I would compare it to a Comedy Central Roast. I expected the worse and got it, if your going in not knowing anything could see how it would be quite unsettling.

I'm with you. I've never been, but when I go out to eat, I got for the conversation with the people I'm eating dinner with. The less I need to talk to the server the better in my opinion. I feel like I'd get annoyed very quickly.

I mainly go to eat. :lol2:

Good conversation is nice though.
