Paul George

Hopefully it's just a break of the tib/fib. If he didn't damage any ligaments then he should be ok granted surgery goes well. Nasty break though, very scary and unfortunate.

He had surgery for a compound fracture of the tibia and fibula. At least a 9-12 month recovery time.

Indiana Pacers All-Star Paul George suffered a compound fracture of the tibia and fibula bones in his lower right leg during an intrasquad scrimmage of the USA Men's Basketball team and went into surgery late Friday night in Las Vegas, according to a league source.

George injured his leg after colliding into the basketball stanchion while trying to defend a fastbreak.

George was expected to be in surgery for two hours until midnight Pacific Standard Time. He will remain hospitalized for two to three days. A source indicated it'd take at least six months for George to be able to get back on his feet, longer to return to the court, putting his 2014-15 season in jeopardy.

This is why the Pacers should of matched Stephenson. Just in case . Now the Pacers have nobody.

He took the injury better than any athlete I have seen. I watched the McGahee, Prothro, Lattimore, Nerlens, Ware, and Anderson Silva injuries live as they happened and all of them were just riving in pain (obviously). But George just laid there calm as can be the entire time.

I took a screenshot of my tv while paused at the moment of injury. Gnarly break! Just horrible! I won't post the pic but for those curious I can PM (but you really dont want to see it).

I agree something must be done with basket supports and media area under the goal. Move them all back!!!

My brother and I watched Anderson Silva's injury live. The most disgusting thing I've ever seen.

I thought it was identical to the Tyrone Prothro injury.

Pretty similar to that and the Ware injury.

What made Anderson's so bad was that he was kicking full force with all his power when it happened so you know it had to really suck. The akward landings are bad enough but the fact Anderson basically broke his own leg by kicking is pretty crazy.
