How tall is the lad?

 

I really like his offensive game. Love the ability to hit the pull-up. That alone sets him apart from most high school ballers. Uses his body well. Looks like he has some hops.

 

Quickness seems to be a little lacking.

 

I might have to get to Brooksville to check him out. Randy doesn't have any debt anymore so he can buy me a hot dog.

Is Presley Marshall helping coach basketball this year? I know he is helping coach their football team.

Expect it be close, like it always is.

This^^. Not sure what to expect other than a close ballgame. We will see who is going to be the go to guy for the new look panthers. And we shall see how our young Polar Bears deal with the pressure that comes with this rivalry game. Could possibily be starting 5 Sophmores so I don't think we should be to demanding early on in the season. There will probally be some "growing pains" early. I think realistically we split the two games with the panthers each team winning at home. Both games being decided by 8 pts or less :thumb:

This young man is just starting his sophomore year in high school. Probably a little too early to know for CERTAIN whether he will or won't play D1. If not, there are plenty of other great, high quality opportunities to play basketball besides D1. I realize that a forum such as this is to present opinions and views, but just like in society, it doesn't hurt to use a little discretion, especially when speaking of kids. There may or may not come a time in this young man's career that the appropriate person may need to discuss whether D1 is a good fit or not, but this is definitely not the time or place to put a definite "no" on it.

In 2 years..... Sky is the limit if Miles does his job. Rumor is he's grooming him for Happy or Wells. That would be a travesty.

 

 

Baffled by the ignorance as well. He has a slew of letters and scouts knocking down his door. He doesn't need to transfer that whole district is wide open. It's a coaches game between those schools in the 69th over the next 5 years. Each school has the athletes if the coaches develop them.

The Bracken/Pendleton rivalry has been quiet for many years. I see it picking up to where it used to be! Got to love rivals!

I took in Bracken County blue/white night this evening and are the highlights of the ten minute scrimmage I saw this evening.

 

• All these kids have shot up in heights 90% of them fall into the 5'11"-6'4 category

• Every varsity player returning has improved over the summer.

• Austin Crawford is as advertised and then some!

• We will probally be the youngest starting 5 in the region

• Half the entire team JV and Varsity are Sophmores

• Perimeter shooting looks to be improved team wide

• Freshman squad has some big kids don't know about skill set but wow there a couple of tall kids.

 

 

From what I seen tonight if I had to guess the starting 5 it would be:

G Cooper Engus Soph

G Jacob Hamiliton Soph

G/F Austin Crawford Soph

F Brady Jones Soph

F Cole Todd Senior

 

6th man Kolton Williams

This team could possibily go 4 deep off the bench

 

I know they didn't show all their cards in this glorified prAtice but what they did show looked good. Very efficient, good crisp passing. Not just taking the first shot but taking the good shot. I'm glad to see another good ball handler to take the load off of Crawford. Now he doesn't have to bring the ball up every trip and can set screens and can backslid cut to the basket. But if he needs to be can take you off the dribble and pull up from 17. Three point shooting team wide has improved.

 

Overall I think this team will turn many heads this season and will surprise many.
