Satanic temple seeks Hobby-Lobby-style exemption from anti-abortion laws

Then why is Obamacare crossing that line?

Because contraception, abortion are legal.

So, TTP, you got a problem with the Kansas literature?

So, TTP, you got a problem with the Kansas literature?

I got a problem with Kansas.

Let's not be disingenuous. We all know all these Big XII and SEC red states enacted these abortion roadblock measures because they could.

Were similar measures enacted for men undergoing vasectomies?

And true to form, you come through. And unless the literature in 49 other states is markedly different, slanted towards religion, this case will get punted like Ray Guy booted it. Your Satanists will only tie up another docket. The literature was common informed consent. But you already knew that, you're a scientist after all.

Please look at the Kansas material and tell us which pages you have issues with?

When men get a vasectomy they do get pre-op information about the procedure just like with any surgery.

Abortion ends a life while vasectomy stops conception...HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!

Not if you're Catholic.

Didn't answer the question but I expected as much.

This snippet on page 3 of the Kansas document linked earlier would cause raised eyebrows for a significant portion of the population:

E. Abortion terminates the life of a whole, separate, unique, living

human being.

Which brings it back to the definition of when life begins, a definition the SCOTUS wants no part of clarifying.

Vasectomy has nothing to do with the issue at all. Just TTP twisting the conversation because he can find no religious undertone in Kansas' literature for consent. It's designed to skew the topic so it can then not be on a parallel, but a tangent. It's a common tactic.

Woud that snippet offend because of religion or science? At week 20? A viable being, wholly sustainable life of it's own?

Neither does the wording of the Kansas pamphlet or whether said pamphlet has religious undertones. The mistresses of darkness say the reading requirement compromises the tenets of their religion. The religious component involves the followers of the fallen angel, not what Sam Brownback's people put together.

Where would you or that significant portion of the population portend that life begins?

BTW there is a new thread on this subject.

I understand that...

I'm just pointing out that some of the people who choose to have an abortion might take exception to that phrasing in the item I quoted, and therein lies the dividing line on the debate:

When does life begin?

One side chooses a scientific view, another takes a religious one.

As for me, I don't know. I haven't the proper training to be an authority on the subject. Admittedly, the religious side and the scientific side of me tug at each other.

It's not for me to speak for anyone else, given how conflicted I am about it.

Bet that won't hold water. No court in the country will sign on for eliminating consent. So, good luck if that's your angle sisters of darkness.
