Now that conflicts with what others have said. Stephen A. (who called it beforehand), has always maintained it was a foregone conclusion the Summer of the Olympics in China and when Wade sold the deal. Who knows. They are all probably full of crap.

Broussard was saying when he spoke with family members on the plane they had no clue where he was going. It was Chicago, Cleveland or Miami. He said right before they landed Lebron told them it would be Miami and that everyone on the plane was silent. He said Lebron then asked the family if he made the right decision and that even on the stage he had doubts about his choice. After they saw the fallout of the choice there was no turning back. He said his family never wanted him to leave Cleveland.

Windy as a sportswriter for the Cleveland Plain Dealer had written about LeBron and basically known LeBron from a athlete/writer standpoint since LeBron was in HS or even younger. He is the original LeBron insider, so he was hired for the Heat Index on ESPN when LeBron went to Miami. He's actually not bad, probably understands the workings of LeBron's crew better than just about anyone. Stephen A just makes stuff up. Broussard is hit or miss but I like him.
