Yep. They would be. He'd never go there but they would be nice.

This Lakers fan only wants one of the players you listed. Lebron. The rest can retire for all I care.

All those other guys suck. :lol2:

I saw that list and thought....no way is he a Lakers fan. :lol2: :lol2:

Lakers- Carmelo Anthony, Kyle Lowry, Luol Deng.

If not Lowry, make a run at Bledsoe.

Resign Henry.

I would love the Wizards to go after Greg Monroe or Danny Granger this summer.

Monroe will probably end up in a sign-and-trade to the Pelicans for Eric Gordon or something along the lines of that though.

Where will Patty Mills and Boris Diaw end up?

Where will Patty Mills and Boris Diaw end up?

Mills:

I really don't think it matters where he ends up unless it's San Antonio. If he goes onto the market, he's probably going to make more, but I don't think he's as valuable to any other team as what someone ends up paying him.

If I'm a Spurs fan, I'm ecstatic if he stays, but don't think it's the end of the world if he goes given how soon they're going to need to make room to give Kawhi the huge deal that he wants and should get. Let's remember that, unlike Duncan or other guys, Kawhi is on his rookie deal and hasn't had his big payday yet. Players like him would be stupid not to get at least one big one (that they may never have another chance for) before they give their team a hometown discount.

As far as Mills goes, I think he's Gary Neal 2.0. Neal ends up in Charlotte and marginally helped them, but probably wasn't worth what they paid him coming off his performance with SA in the Playoffs in 2013. If Mills goes, it's probably going to be next man up and Cory Joseph, Marco Bellinelli, and/or some cheap addition fills the role. Like the Patriots, the Spurs are great at finding a value to fit their system and this will likely be no different.

Diaw:

Likes playing with Parker and both are French guys. By all accounts, he's pretty content in San Antonio and has a pretty sweet gig as is. He's been around a little longer than other guys, and in his career, has totaled just shy of $60 million in salary.

For a guy like him, the extra $2.5-4 million per year he might get elsewhere probably isn't worth moving from a team he's found his niche with, a friend in Parker, the longevity he could have with the Spurs, and no state income tax (Texas).

For some reason, I just don't see him doing anything other than sticking around for awhile longer and enjoying what he has, especially with Duncan returning. Maybe he's learned from his big contract in Charlotte, where he made nearly twice as much as he does now, but maybe he hasn't either. If I'm him, I know that a bump from $4.5 per year to $6.5 per year is more appealing than doubling my salary to $9 million per year, as that's a lot of risk for a guy who is essentially a system player who just turned 32, but maybe he doesn't see it that way, as he's reported angling for a two year deal in the range of $18-$20 million, which is probably just a ploy by his agent to start negotiations there and work down.

If I'm a Spurs fan, I'd rather let Mills walk and spend some of that money on Diaw, but I'm not going to break the bank to pay Boris either unless it's a situation where Pop & Duncan have confided with management that next year is absolutely their last run and you want to sign him to a short deal just for sake of keeping everything in tact for that one final push.

Yes on Monroe, maybe on Granger (just depends on how much).

I have been holding out for the Wiz to move in after Monroe for a while, but I hope they can do it and still keep Gortat. They are very thin on the inside but a trio of Monroe, Gortat, and Nene is pretty solid. Cannot anticipate Nene staying healthy for a whole season so this would be a perfect scenario for him to come off the bench.

I also like Pat Patterson or Ed Davis if Monroe isn't in play (DET can match any offer). Either way they should cut their ties with Ariza unless they can get him for 5-6 mil a season and that's not going to happen. I say roll with Webster (who also had career production playing starters minutes with Wall), Porter and Rice Jr. on the wing and if Gortat bidding gets above 11 mil say goodbye to him as well. Only drawback is there isn't a lot of solid replacements when it comes to bigs in this class so if they lose Gortat options B.) and C.) may not be too hot. If they managed a Spencer Hawes or Pau Gaol they'd be alright but that is about your only options.

Going to be an interesting summer for the Wiz. Ariza and Gortat should have a few suitors lining up to pay them. EG and company cannot get into a bidding war and eat up future salary.
