June 25, 201412 yr Diaw would be stupid to leave SA. He bounced around quite a bit after marginial success in PHX but has found himself playing in Pop's system. IMO they ressurected his career, he may not even be in the league if it wasn't for them.

June 25, 201412 yr Monroe will probably end up in a sign-and-trade to the Pelicans for Eric Gordon or something along the lines of that though. If I were the Wiz I'd try to pull a Monroe/Ariza S&T but Ariza would have to agree (and I'm not sure he would). In the Pistons current setup he would be the perfect player. Slide Smith to the 4 spot, have Ariza on the wing, KCP at the 2, Jennings 1, and Drummond eating all the minutes at the 5. That is an intriguingly athletic team.
June 25, 201412 yr Yes on Monroe, maybe on Granger (just depends on how much). I have been holding out for the Wiz to move in after Monroe for a while, but I hope they can do it and still keep Gortat. They are very thin on the inside but a trio of Monroe, Gortat, and Nene is pretty solid. Cannot anticipate Nene staying healthy for a whole season so this would be a perfect scenario for him to come off the bench. I also like Pat Patterson or Ed Davis if Monroe isn't in play (DET can match any offer). Either way they should cut their ties with Ariza unless they can get him for 5-6 mil a season and that's not going to happen. I say roll with Webster (who also had career production playing starters minutes with Wall), Porter and Rice Jr. on the wing and if Gortat bidding gets above 11 mil say goodbye to him as well. Only drawback is there isn't a lot of solid replacements when it comes to bigs in this class so if they lose Gortat options B.) and C.) may not be too hot. If they managed a Spencer Hawes or Pau Gaol they'd be alright but that is about your only options. Going to be an interesting summer for the Wiz. Ariza and Gortat should have a few suitors lining up to pay them. EG and company cannot get into a bidding war and eat up future salary. I really like you mentioning Hawes. Perfect fit with how Wall plays.

All the guys in the league have been watching Kobe for a long time and he is given the respect he deserves. Just because Rondo, Pierce and Ray Allen hate Kobe doesn't mean the whole league does.

June 26, 201412 yr ^ Except Shaq wanted to stay but the Lakers choose Kobe over him. Howard is a joke, I don't blame him for running that clown off. Melo and Kobe have already meet and talked. It's not always as simple as being friends. Kobe has very little pull with the Lakers front office.
