June 8, 201412 yr I was actually watching this game for a while. I figured Machado would get plunked at some point. Something happened yesterday with him and a player. Then today he has a really long swing that plunks the catcher in the head causing him to be removed. Nothing happened. Later in the game he intentionally (it was) threw his bat at the 3rd baseman. June 8, 201412 yr It's always amazed me that only one player has gotten killed as a direct result of something that happened on the field (Ray Chapman).

June 8, 201412 yr :lol2: :lol2: Definitely an intentional bat toss by Machado. The catcher caught the ball before he swung. :lol2:
June 9, 201412 yr Saw this one. Held the bat almost all the way through, after he got pitched he had a look of disbelief….
June 9, 201412 yr Here's the play from Saturday - overreaction by Machado. Benches Clear Because Manny Machado Did Not Like Josh Donaldson's Tag You think? Absolutely nothing wrong with the tag.
June 9, 201412 yr Machado's been acting like a cry baby punk this entire series, it's very sad. I always liked the guy but after this weekend there's no way I could look at him the same. I mean be a professional and toughen up, no way these antics fly even a few decades ago.
June 9, 201412 yr Apparently Machado took offense because he's coming of knee surgery, but does he expect not to get touched? That's whats lost him for me this weekend and that's the extent he's blew everything out of proportion and the amount of energy he's cost both teams. Grow up, play baseball.
June 9, 201412 yr Why is he running into a tag with no runner behind him on 1st? Machado made a bone headed base running mistake, was embarrassed and blames the 3rd baseman when he takes the easy out on a tag. Then looks even more like an idiot throwing the bat. Real simple: be a smarter base runner. Moron.
June 9, 201412 yr Did anyone else get a chuckle when the bullpens came jogging in? Both teams relievers were running from the outfield side be side, and walked back out together as well.
June 10, 201412 yr Did anyone else get a chuckle when the bullpens came jogging in? Both teams relievers were running from the outfield side be side, and walked back out together as well. I would like one time the bullpens come out and just go at it in the outfield.
