"I'd Like To See A Movie Made About....."

Featured Replies

I'd like to see how Andy DuFresne and Red did on Zihuatanejo.

I wonder that every time I watch it.

How did the book end?

Would you have David Bowie reprise his role as Tesla from "The Prestige"?

That's the first thing I thought from his post as well.

I'd love to see an awesome drama about the Manhattan Project. Filled with discussions that brought them to the idea of creating the bombs, using them, and their thoughts in the aftermath.

The German Battleship the Bismark...the building, the battle with the Hood and the subsequent hunting down by the Royal Navy. Love to see a movie showing both sides of that story.

Even though the last few minutes would suck I'd like to see a 30 for 30 on the Greatest College Basketball Game of All-Time

Ted Williams Story, Baseball and as a Pilot in Korea, would be great as well

The Mistborn trilogy...

Blown away someone else in this world has read Sanderson. Give A Way of Kings a shot. Its his best work to date.

I have it. Bought it a couple months ago, but haven't got around to it yet. In book 2 of the Mistborn trilogy, once I finish those, it's next on the list.

Let my Dad read it, he thought it was amazing. Went out and bought Words of Radiance right when it came out and got through it in less than week. He said he thinks they're better than GoT.

I'd like to see a movie adaption of Rainbow Six...even though I can't think of any actor that would be cool enough and tough enough to pull off "John Clark"

^The "coolness" factor of actors starts and stops with Denzel Washington and Samuel L. They're certainly cool and tough enough for any role.

Nikola Tesla vs. Thomas Edison

Started out with Tesla working for Edison, and then Edison refused to pay Tesla for nearly all of his work. Tesla's AC versus Edison's DC, their battle to provide the bulb for the lighting of the Chicago's 1893 World's Fair.... Even would involve Tesla's decent into madness.

Go to Family Video on Ruckriegle Parkway and rent "The Men who Built America". It is a multi DVD series about Cornelius Vanderbilt, John Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, and J.P. Morgan. The DVD on Morgan spends quite a bit of time going over Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla and how J.P. Morgan supported Edison and George Westinghouse supporting Tesla. Very interesting. Edison and Morgan went on to found what is today General Electric.

Just get Tarantino to direct it. If we were to list the number of "cool" roles in a QT flick BGP would need another server.

I don't see either one of them playing John Clark...:lol2: You'd have to read the books to know more about the character. Denzel...maybe but maybe a little old for the part...SLJ is at this point is too old to play that character.

Need to include the subplot about all of the spying.
