I get you, I'm not either, but being on the inside of that industry I can tell you it's bleeding out right now.

 

All energy production has some by-product and consequence. This just seems like one more step to his plan of killing off all coal usage.

Don't know if you are interested or not, but we have CO2 receptors located in both our brain and aortic arch, the ones located in the brain are primary and determine the CO2 level and spur respiration to eliminate CO2, the receptors in the aortic arch are a back up that are only used on a limited bases. Now people that have chronic respiratory disease have other issues that spur respiration, at times. People often confuse ventilation with respiration. Ventilation is the mechanical process of breathing, respiration is the gas exchange on the cellular level where oxygen is deliver and CO2 is eliminated. Good ventilation, does not always equate to good respiration, oxygen and CO2 have to both be moved in a somewhat equal manner.

Serious question how are Democrats the party of the middle class and poor when they pass laws like this that will impact those groups the most in the pocket book?

To suggest that our crumbling economy proves that past warnings against over regulation were wrong is nonsense. Cheap, efficient energy has always been a basic trait of economic strength. To give that edge away by intentionally driving up Americans' cost of doing business and their cost of living strikes me as idiotic.

 

Future generations will look back on the Obama era and do a massive face palm.

Why are you so sure that shutting down a third of coal-fired power plants will not cause energy prices to soar and harm the economy? Obama predicted that utility rates would skyrocket but you seem to believe that he was mistaken. Is that right?

I was thinking more globally. China and India will continue burning coal and nothing the EPA does is going to stop them. I'm sure that it will benefit some' date=' while hurting others.[/quote']

 

China already accounts for over 50 % more CO2 than US.

 

It's on the way to doubling US.

 

The US will be around only 12% it total emissions in a few years.

 

Even if CO2 were really a 'greenhouse' gas as slight decrease domestically does nothing to to the supposed 'problem'.

If Los Angeles is the measure they were correct. I saw LA's famous smog from the air landing at LAX years ago. A brown thick layer over the city.

I think we are beginning to see some of the D dissenters starting to creep up now. The D's that represent those in coal states (PA, WV, KY) are starting to waver on this one.
