I believe you're right Clyde. If I'm not mistaken I think that team was led by the "Jimmy" boys, Pitzer and Dorton. I believe Jeff Akers played on that team as well. Heck of ball club much like this Cougar version.

Actually that team was led by Tim Byrns and Phil Uhlmann. Pitz and Dorton were sophs that year. Brian would have been a frosh.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the only pitcher unavailable for Conner is last night's starter. I believe I saw in round one that Conner pitched several and no one went more than 2 innings.

 

Blaise Ostertag (sp?) went 4 innings but he is available by rule for today.

I'd love to see Raizor and/or Doty throw some tonight. Saw them both at the JV level this year and both are good. As in very good. They are already varsity-quality pitchers and are going to be a force for Highlands for the next few years.
