I've tried to be patient with Price as I like how he thinks "out of the box" at times. But, you can't have a revolving door at first with Votto out. Frazier has no business being there. You can't tell me that Lutz hits any worse than Sanchez. Leave Frazier at third where he has improved greatly defensively. As much as I like Pena's attitude, etc.. he isn't hitting much in the last two weeks either after a great start to his season.

Both games Frazier has been at first there have been errors or "misplays" that have cost critical runs on a light hitting (no hitting) team.

Who's Sanchez?

Also, I fail to believe that Frazier and/or Pena would be much worse than a guy who has been playing OF at AA.

My bad... I meant Satiago and his .194 average who was playing 3rd. I believe Lutz also plays first and was the reason he was brought up. Price mentioned in pregame that he would be used there. I made two trips this year to spring training and I believe Lutz played some first there as well but his minor league stats list him as an outfielder. Either way, IMO, Frazier is your everyday 3rd baseman and no need to use him at 1st where he looks lost.

I thought so as well off the top of my head and not researching it.

The Reds just look lost this season. They face Greinke tonight and Kershaw tomorrow. It would be fair to say a sweep is in order. Greinke 7-1 2.01 ERA Kershaw 3-1 3.49 ERA, but it's Kershaw.

Gotta wonder if JC wouldn't mind being dealt at the deadline. Because his guys suck.

Hope to God, Frazier doesn't play another pitch at 1st base. Just plain stupid to put him there

Do you really have faith that the former pitching coach will comply? You better hope to God that Votto gets back soon would likely be a better option. Cause the Reds got "DUMB" covered.

Reds are on pace for 73 wins.

Need to play .557 ball to get to 85 wins.

The month of June is going to be critical.

I should have added that .557 means 63-50 the rest of the season.

Won 10 straight with him there a couple years back.

He's played more games at 1B than he has OF in the minors.

The last season he played more 1B than OF was 2011.

Which is not unrealistic...

The Reds have their work cut out for them, but they're not out of it yet. They still have a lot of games left against the Cubbies & Pirates.

Lutz was brought up because he was hitting the cover off the ball in AA and Soto wasn't hitting his weight up here. It was a bonus that he has played a little first base.
