Reds @ Dodgers (May 26 - 28)

Featured Replies

The last season he played more 1B than OF was 2011.

Which would still make him more qualified than anyone on the Reds roster.

Which is not unrealistic...

The Reds have their work cut out for them, but they're not out of it yet. They still have a lot of games left against the Cubbies & Pirates.

And the Pirates are saying "we still have a lot of games vs. the Reds".

Really? Frazier played 39 major league ballgames there in 2012 with a .994 fielding percentage and 2 errors...

170 games or 39 games? I don't really have a problem with Frazier at 1B but I do have a problem with Santiago at 3B.

170 games or 39 games?

150 of those 170 are in A ball or below... ML games are a different animal.

Won 10 straight with him there a couple years back.

So? He's killing them now. Thats all I care about...

The month of June is going to be critical.

Thats funny. Lets just dismiss April and May.

At the plate I agree, if you can field you can field.

I just can't get over how position poor this organization is. During Cards game the announcers were talking about how the Cards have all thses guys in the minors just waiting for a spot. The Reds don't even seem to have a farm system.

100% truth.

I admittedly don't follow other organizations like I follow the Reds, but does it seem like the Reds are reluctant to bring people up? Or is it that way everywhere? Or am I off and they bring guys up at a normal clip? Because I'd be considerably different when it came to personnel if I had guys not gettin' it done.

^ I think it has more to do with lack of good players.

Who is dismissing April & May? I'm sure as hell not.

My point was that the next 30 games are going to be crucial in determining whether the Reds are buyers or sellers. If they continue to struggle, they might as well sell some of their assets & start building towards 2015. If they rattle off a bunch of wins, then they're right back in the thick of things.

I always thought they were slow to bring guys up. John Fay mentioned Diaz has under a 2 ERA for the second year in a row and when he asked Price if they thought about bringing him up for the pitiful bullpen, Price said "we aren't desparate yet". The Red's have a few bullpen guys that are having terrible years to date and if Diaz is under a 2 ERA then he needs to be up here.

True, the sent most of the higher ranked guys for Latos.
