Reds @ Dodgers (May 26 - 28)

Featured Replies

I have never seen a team roll over like the Redlegs. It starts with our joke of a skipper and GM. Facing Greinke who is 7-1, and Price puts his JV team in. I also agree with the statement made by malachi, that the reds did nothing to improve in the off season and that starts with Walt. Hoping they can pull off an upset tonight, but considering how poorly the reds do against left handers, and it's Clayton Kershaw, it doesn't look good. Hopefully they can salvage this trip in Arizona.

So Jay Bruce is obviously not ready to be playing again. 2 for 16 with 9 Ks since his return.

Which is exactly why I wanted him to go on a rehab assignment first.

They activated Bruce on a Wednesday vs. the Nationals. Reds had an off day on that Thursday, then came back to GABP to face STL for a 3-game weekend series.

Bruce could have gone to any minor league affiliate and picked up 6-8 AB's & still have been in the lineup on Friday vs. STL. Would it have made a difference? Who knows...not if he's still in pain. But Bruce is such a streaky hitter it just makes too much sense.

This team needs players with attitudes. They need to start drafting players that not only have talent, but players that get ticked off when they lose. The 90's team had plenty of players like that. Rob Dibble, Norm Charlton, Paul O'Neill to name a few.

Yeah, let's write off the next 60+ years because the 2014 team sucks. Makes no sense whatsoever.

We'll be at 30 years before you know it...

Who managed that team?

They also had good players. That helped.

I said good players with attitude.

Another guy with attitude.

I said good players with attitude.

Latos has an "attitude" and people were worried about it before he got here. Homer has an "attitude". That crap is so overrated. Good players win, period.

What's your point?
.

That many young fans have missed the thrill of a WS team. And there is not real reason to think one is on the horizon. We good with that??

I don't think anyone could have saved this series.

17 teams have went longer than the Reds without a championship. Forgive me if I don't take your "100% negative all day, every day" outlook. Why fans go out of their way to make themselves miserable is beyond me.
