May 24, 201412 yr There is another Marine being held as well in an unrelated incident. Sen Kerry was in Mexico this week and the issue was raised. No details on what was said. I feel so much better now knowing that he's on the case….
May 24, 201412 yr Whether Obama's personal friend, the professor, broke a law or not, he berated the policemen for just doing their jobs. Obama turned the incident into a national debate on race. This is quite a contrast to his reaction to an American combat veteran under his command making a wrong turn on a freeway and ending up in a Mexican prison for six weeks - and counting. The way that the Mexican government has treated this suspect is also quite a contrast to Obama's decision to release 36,000 illegal aliens, many of whom are Mexican citizens convicted of crimes including rape and murder, from American prisons. Is there no limit to the extent that liberals will go to defend President Obama's malfeasance? Had this corpsman been a personal friend of Obama, there is no doubt that he would be a free man today. Where did I mention Obama?
May 24, 201412 yr Author So if an American citizen is in another country and breaks one of their laws, they shouldn't face the consequences? Getting lost isn't a crime.
May 24, 201412 yr Where did I mention Obama? You didn't. You mentioned Obama's good buddy, the professor who verbally abused two policemen who did nothing but perform their duty. Thank you for bringing up the incident that prompted the Beer Summit - it is a great illustration of how differently Obama's friends are treated than an average American or military veteran. Obama's Department of Justice facilitated the illegal transportation of weapons across the Mexican border. Do you think Obama would be taking action if the Mexican government indicted Eric Holder or one of the other outlaws at the DOJ? We have no reason to believe that this U.S. Marine intended to cross the border with three guns that were legally registered in the U.S. The fact that the DOJ intended to allow weapons to enter Mexico illegally has been pretty well established. Why the double standard? Edited May 24, 201412 yr by Mitch Rapp
May 24, 201412 yr Author Bringing weapons into Mexico is. So should they put all those involved with fast and furious in jail since they took weapons into Mexico.
May 24, 201412 yr So if an American citizen is in another country and breaks one of their laws' date=' they shouldn't face the consequences?[/quote'] Only THIS ONE guy that Ref wants to use as another tool to bash Obama, as he ONLY mentioned THIS ONE person, and not the dozens of other people per month that this happens to crossing into Mexico.
May 24, 201412 yr So should they put all those involved with fast and furious in jail since they took weapons into Mexico. Is this a serious question?
May 24, 201412 yr SIMPLE FACT if you ever plan to go outside the US, You better watch what you are doing even if you end up doing doing something unintentional, the US most likely won't be able to help you too much, and it has always been that way! If I am in the Middle East area hiking without any weapons and make an honest mistake and end up in Iran, guess who is going to be locked up?

The idiot that went hiking in that God foresaken place, LOL!
May 24, 201412 yr Author Bringing weapons into Mexico is. Is this a serious question? You said it. So it's ok with you that an American soldier who takes wrong turn with 3 registered guns and tries to get back to US deserves to be in jail? But you feel it's ok if our government takes weapons to Mexico and seek them and they end up killing a border agent ok and that no one is held responsible. Keep drinking that liberal koolaid.

But you feel it's ok if our government takes weapons to Mexico and seek them and they end up killing a border agent ok and that no one is held responsible. Keep drinking that liberal koolaid. If you take a weapon into another country ILLEGALLY, then yes, you are subject to whatever penalty that may result. The fact that he "took a wrong turn" is his fault, no one else. If I were carrying my weapon near an international border, I would be certain of my whereabouts and what the laws in the other country were. Veteran or not, you are not exempt from obeying the law.
May 24, 201412 yr I can't stand Mexico...and it goes way back before this incident. I want to be clear I didn't say Mexicans, I said Mexico. The disdain of their leaders for this country ticks me off to no end. If not for this country allowing so many of their citizens to stay here illegally it is untelling what would happen to their economy. Between what workers wire home each week and the aid given by our country Mexico is able to keep plugging along.

You got me. The Mexicans caught him. He shouldn't be so stupid. Learn the laws and get a GPS. Hopefully he gets at least 20 years hard labor for this heinous crime he committed. Obama is doing right by not trying to get this criminal back for the horrendous crime he committed, vet or not. It may cause an international incident if he tried to. I'm glad we can show Mexico how we have forgiveness by releasing rapist, murderers, criminals from Mexico back into civilian life in America.

Again, as usual, you are either missing the point or ignoring facts! You are crying for the release of this ONE person, but where is your outcry for the dozens of US citizens who are arrested each month in Mexico for the exact same reasons? Lets say there is a country that it is ok to be carrying around a bag full of coke in your baggage, and then you enter the US. What do you think will happen? Just because it may be legal in your country doesn't mean it is legal in another, no matter what you think of the law. Again, bringing any type of weapon or ammo into Mexico is illegal! Laws in the US have no effect on you if you are arrested in another country. And if you are not from the US and get arrested in the US, the laws in your country have no effect on you if you are arrested in the US. From the US Consulate office in Tijuana "Claiming not to know about the law will not get you leniency from a police officer or the judicial system. Leave your firearms, ammunition, and knives at home. Don’t bring them into Mexico." Guns are Illegal in Mexico | U.S. Consulate General Tijuana, Mexico Keep throwing around "the agenda".
