May 20, 201412 yr Mr. Cub!! Got my pic in the paper with him and his autograph. Asked me to name 5 current cubs. It was no problem, I collected baseball cards at the time. I asked him if he wanted me to go on, he just laughed.

May 20, 201412 yr Yep no 40 homer guy. Oh wait... Winning seasons??? I'll take that... Check out the pitching staffs during the Dunn years and compare them to now. Marked difference. I know you know that, and are just piling on, but the pitching staffs during those years were historically bad.

May 20, 201412 yr How important would the donkey be in today's lineup? I'm not saying he is a must or great hitter but the Reds missing the playoffs his entire stint had less to do with him than some would like to admit. I think some use him as a scapegoat when they just weren't very good.

I think some use him as a scapegoat when they just weren't very good. They were'nt good. The Reds realized he wasn't the key to winning, got rid of him and brought in a winning team. Wasn't his fault, I know. Just awful ironic that such a great player, can't fit in on a winning team. Anywhere.

The Reds saw what scoring runs with little pitching got them, nowhere, and made the right moves to solidify the rotation. No complaints from me.

I know he wasn't the most well-liked guy, and is a little too laid back for some people, but to suggest that he's responsible for 15 losing seasons is a little over the top, in my opinion.
May 20, 201412 yr What i love about Dunn, is as inconsistent he could be month to month, at the end of the year he was probably the most consistent guy in the league if you looked at yearly stats. It was almost like a magic trick
