Woman sentenced to death for being Christian

I understand and agree with what your saying here...except I don't think people are beating the doors down to read about Michael Sam, as you would say...It's being crammed down our throats!

I don't disagree that it is overkill right now. It will continue to be a news item through training camp until the season starts. Then it won't matter anymore, like Manti Te'o. My guess is he took the discussions with the Rams about reconsidering the TV show to heart and is going to keep a lower profile, but it's too late for the commercial that Walsh referenced.

People murder in the name of religion. Has happened for thousands of years. Christians do it as well. It's why I have utter disdain for religion(... and Tea Party nutcases)

The three most prolific mass murderers in the history were Mao, Stalin, and Hitler. The combined to murder 130 million people. As far as I recall, none of those 130 million people were killed in the name of Christianity or any other organized religion.

How many victims of "Tea Party nutcases" have been murdered in the name of Christianity?

Religious intolerance is an ugly character flaw and it has claimed more victims than have been killed in the name of religion in the past century.

I have more tolerance for people who wish to worship their silly Gods than for those who wish to vote for Rand Paul or his ilk. :)

Yeah, I can see that tolerance just oozing out. :lol2:
Before our country came within the same time zone of something like that happening, people like Rockmom would be toting guns around to prevent it.

When the day comes that Rockmom starts packing heat is the day I start building a fortress like bunker for self defense.

Yeah, I can see that tolerance just oozing out. :lol2:

Keep in mind, the ones who harp about bigotry and intolerance the most are generally the people who are the most intolerant.

I agree. It is astounding that in a thread about a Christian woman who refused to renounce her faith under penalty of death, some folks decided that it would be an appropriate opportunity to ridicule Christianity and the Tea Party. Really? A woman is sentenced to flogging, followed by death and some people find it appropriate to ridicule her religion in this thread. Amazing, but not surprising.
There's a lot of things more important to me to worry about than what Sudan does to their own citizens.

She is married to a American Citizen and would qualify for American citizenship herself this year. The child she is carrying is a US citizen. And the couples 18-month old son, who is also jailed, is a US citizen.

So where is the State Department?

My point was that you and others don't think this a big deal. I didn't say anything about invading the country or putting boots on the ground. This is not a Terrorist doing this, it is a Nation State doing it...my question would be where is the pressure from the US, sanctions or political inroads to stop such behavior.

It is sad that some of you think the Michael Sam story is more note worthy than any person losing their life...I guess that's the Pop Culture World many live in. Good Thing Kim and Kanye aren't getting married this week, that would really stop the world spinning for a lot of you.

Make sure you use lots of hashtags and a pouty face, apparently it cures all social ills in the world and will bring us instantly to utopia.
