Woman sentenced to death for being Christian

Featured Replies

In Sudan, an 8month pregnant woman is sentenced to death for not converting to Islam. She must give birth, nurse the baby, then be hanged. All for being a Christian.

Now where is the outrage from CAIR or Muslim Brotherhood.

There is none due to Sharia Law and it goes by the Koran.

Here is the link from Fox News. I cant post one from MSNBC because there isnt one, not even on website as I guess its no big deal.

There's a lot of things more important to me to worry about than what Sudan does to their own citizens.

You'd never find anything worth anything on MSNBC's website. It's terrible.

I'd aim a little higher.

As for the story itself, disgusting obviously. I don't think anyone around here believes it isn't.

Has anyone on the site espoused support for the Muslim Brotherhood recently?

Probably not since the Obama administration withdrew its support of the Muslim Brotherhood, after helping it to overthrow the government of our Egyptian allies.

This is no more newsworthy than the thousands of Christians who have been slaughtered by Muslims in Africa over the past few years. At least she had a speedy trial and has generated some publicity for the plight of Christians in Africa. Forget about CAIR or the Muslim Brotherhood, how vocal has the Obama administration been? Have they created a Twitter hash tag yet?

I'm sorry, I forgot where I was for a second. I'll shut up now and go back to the basketball forums.

Actually I read somewhere that a noted Muslim cleric spoke out against this as a blasphemy to Islam.

I thought the story was not that she was Christian but that she renounced her former Islamic faith, the fact that she became a Christian afterwards is not as important to the Sudanese government. My guess is the punishment would be the same if she were to become Buddhist, Hindu, atheist, etc.

Not saying this make the death sentence acceptable, just that I think this is more a punishment for apostasy than it is punishment for being Christian.

While I have been meaning to look into the Koran and have never took the time to do so, I get the impression that interpretation of the Koran may be even more wide spread that Christian who try to interpret the Bible.

I have read that her Muslim father left her mother when she was six years old. Other accounts simply state that here father was never around. Her mother was an Orthodox Ethiopian Christian, who raised her as a Christian.

However, I agree with you that the only relevant fact is that the pregnant woman was not a Muslim. Muslim terrorists are not choosy when choosing their targets. They do seem to prefer Jewish victims, but the blood of a Christian or Hindu will do just fine in a pinch.

They do seem to prefer Jewish victims, .

The Muslims in Africa (besides Northern Africa) and the ones in Slavic parts of Europe don't seem to be as anti Jewish as those in the Middle East. That may be because they don't deal with Israel like Middle Eastern Jews do. It seems similar with Jews and Muslims in the US. They really don't bother with each other. Two friends of mine are researchers at UofL, one in electrical engineering, the other in Physics. Both have several Jewish and Islamic coworkers as you can imagine. Those two groups get along fine. Who irritates their Jewish and Islamic fellow researchers are anti-science anti-evolutionists. I think most Jews and Muslims in the US are more worried about Evangelicals than each other.

Yeah the two homosexuals kissing is so much more news worthy than this huh. Obama spoke up and was proud of him but doesn't chime in on this.

Obama still supports the Muslim Brotherhod.

To be fair, people are killing each other right and left in the Islamic world. It's just not news.

The first openly gay player in the NFL is big news, whether you want to stick your head in the sand about it or not.

I'll go for the sand

It's not just killing, it's ethnic cleansing, genocide.

The Christian religion is not going to die because a few of them get killed in the Middle East.
