May 9, 201412 yr So if I understand this correctly... A) We want to maintain stable birth rates because lower birth rates will result in a reduced work force and demand for goods/services. OK, on the surface I agree with this long-term economic premise, however I think a more troubling problem is our overall health in this state, which improved would accomplish a much more stable citizenry and have a huge impact on our economy. B) Allowing gays and lesbians to marry will lower the birth rates and cue the economic crisis discussed in item A) This is where the argument lost me. If same-sex marriage is outlawed, do they think those folks are going to go ahead and marry someone from the opposite sex and procreate? How will giving marital benefits to same-sex couples lower the birth rate among heterosexual couples?

He showed his Baptist side when he approved the sweetheart deal for Jimmy Lee Farnsworth and Bibleland up in Grant Co. Not really surprised by this in that light. I'd have to say Beshear has been one of the more disappointing Govs in my time.

May 10, 201412 yr OK, so Let me get this straight (No pun intended, uhh ok, maybe it was a pun), So, the Gov. thinks that if we legalize gay marriage all of a sudden everyone in the state is going to "start" having gay sex? And they were not before if a law would say gay marriage was legal?
