Not going to take anything away from the the Tiger hitters, but if you think the Jags don't have a few of there own you would be mistaken. I know they have one in the mid 500's and a handfull in the mid 400's to upper 400's to 500. If Cooper's Ace is on, I would go with Cooper.

 

Cooper would have beaten Beechwood today. Give me both teams on equal rest, ace vs ace. I'll take Beechwood. Both aces are very good, but there are more hitters in the Tiger lineup.

What does this mean Malibu?

 

Would have been like the Conner game, JV vs ace.

 

Simply meant BW threw off vs Conner, was in middle of all A and district play and short on arms. Conner threw Ross, BW threw a kid who is not a pitcher. Game was over before it startes, was a snooze fest. Tonight would have been same.

Come on! Lets look at facts! Beechwood has played three games in two days in the All A tourney, I am sure the kids are tired, shouldn't they be afforded some time to rest? If they didn't make it to the final day of the All A, I am sure that there would still be a game today.

It was a district team. Also the first time in school history that they were able to beat a team in their district. May not seem like a lot to you but for a new school, every first matters and leads to more and more.

Gotcha...nothing meant by it I thought maybe I missed something as far as games in district.

Unfortunately, It was a game played on the worst field in the area. It came down to which team got the last bad hop. Early in the game, Cooper got the bad hops and drop fly balls due to the field conditions and toward the end , Boone got their share of the field monsters.

Gotcha...nothing meant by it I thought maybe I missed something as far as games in district.

yes I wanted the game to be played, I also understand why it was cancelled but that doesn't make it any less frustrating seeing how they just had their weekend game also cancelled by their opponent. With all the rain outs this year Cooper just hasn't been able to get a lot of games in.

 

Its just frustrating is all. Nothing against BW at all, just wanted to play them is all.

Trinity, Anderson (OH), LaSalle (GCL), Tates Creek, LCA. If I am scheduling these teams why on earth would I be afraid of Cooper? I am sorry the game was canceled. I was planning on going myself. But afraid of playing anyone? Hardly. Accept what happened and move on.

I would disagree on the Doc Morris game, both teams fought hard, but the defense you seen from Boone at that game was no where close from a normal game. Anyone who has watched Boone this season would agree you are not going to see that type of defensive game in a while. That field is in major need of a good rolling in the infield and the outfield needs the valley removed from it. I would agree all the district teams are pretty close together, but I wouldn't gauge much off that game except both team kept their heads up and battled to the end.

I'm so glad that my son graduated high school and is on to college baseball. This type of drama makes me throw up in my mouth. Quit all the emotional crap and talk baseball. Seriously... you all are like a bunch of old women.

 

Baseball is a great game. Enjoy it!!
