Did I miss something ? I thought everyone had a favorite list of Canadian musicians ? Hmmm….

Mine is mostly limited to The Band, Neil Young, Cowboy Junkies, Joni Mitchell, Fred Eaglesmith, k.d. lang, Hank Snow and Gordon Lightfoot.

No love for Steppenwolf, The Guess Who or Rush?

Jim is a closet Loverboy fan.

Ummmmm … no.

And the "Get Lucky" album cover ranks among the worst ever.

OK, so let's steer back from our maple syrup detour and get focused to the question at hand. I'm wanting some more feedback on RTS' favorite band before I weigh in with my thoughts on the Swedish popsters — who may finally be getting back together for a massive cash-in reunion tour that would make the Rolling Stones blush. I haven't even checked the poll yet.

I've heard Dancing Queen way too many times because it was one of the sororities songs at NKU.

I feel your pain.

I've had happier associations with the song over the years, thus it still rings a little dear to me.

Love 'em…although they rank 3rd behind Rush and Gordon Lightfoot on my top list of Canadian musicians !

Really? Canadian?

And when it comes to actual Canadian bands, I won't argue with anyone about Rush, but Bryan Adams is right there. Ya gotta love him, don't ya Woodsrider?

You still haven't guessed where I stand on ABBA, like/dislike.

You can't be a member of the band and not at least have some love there, regardless of how messy the breakup with Anni-Frid went down.

Let's not forget Paul Anka, Corey Hart, and Guy Lombardo...

Love ABBA.

:lol2: You know it! Birdsfan would be so proud of you for that!

Truth is, I am in the pro-ABBA crowd. Call it a guilty pleasure. Call it pressure from my wife. I do enjoy their music, and I'm good with that.

Could live without them. Would never buy their music or pay to see them, but I don't hate them. I don't change the station when they come on, and there are a couple of their songs I liked in the day.
