Bengals 2014 Schedule

Featured Replies

Home:

Falcons - Completely different team on the road than in the dome. Bengals should win

Titans - Should win

Panthers - Should win

Ravens - Tough matchup but should be favored at home

Jaguars - Should win

Browns - Tough to predict how the Browns will fare this year

Steelers - Should win, but they're still a division rival

Broncos -Tough matchup, Broncos will win.

Road:

Ravens - Hope to split with them

Patriots - Tough to beat in Foxboro but at least it's early in the season

Colts - Favor the Colts simply because they're at home.

Saints - Loss

Texans - Still don't know who their QB is which favors Bengals

Buccaneers - Bengals could be favored

Browns

Steelers

Honestly I don't think it's too bad of a schedule in terms of the quality of their opponents. Obviously nothing is easy in the NFL, but I LOVE playing Titans, Panthers & Jags at home. Don't mind playing ATL at home, either, although I wish it was later in the season so one of their WR's would be hurt.

At New England & NOLA are brutal matchups. At Colts is tough but doesn't scare me. At Texans is very winnable, same with at Tampa.

I don't like having 5 of the last 7 games on the road. Those 3 consecutive road games at the end of November (@ Saints, @ Texans, @ Bucs) are going to be HUGE games.

Tough break playing @ Pitt on a short week after hosting the Broncos.

I also don't like having a bye that early.

And Brandon Phillips is still a Red, so there's that.

Just back to worrying about your old defense and OL.

Lots of great points CC.

Not for lack of trying, as you well know....

No kidding, wish we could sign a petition.

I am.

In all seriousness, if I was a Bengals fan, I'd hope that the season didn't hinge on the last 2 weeks.

As a life long Bengal fan I just get the feeling what goes up must come down. With this schedule I see a 7-9 team unless Dalton shocks the football viewing world.

Steelers host the Browns who are loaded and 4 days later go to Baltimore to start the season. No favors from the scheduling gods there. they'll be lucky to enter week 3 with a full roster.

Saving grace for P'burgh - they go out of the eastern time zone once - and that game is in the Midwest.

This is what cracks me up. If the Bengals have a good season, they won in spite of Dalton. However, if they go 7-9, it was Dalton's fault.

That is not how I read it, I believe he is saying if Dalton has a big year so will the Bengals. He doesn't think it will happen, but admits it might.

I don't think that's what JA was saying exactly, but I agree with your sentiment 100%.

I guess the NFL really wants the Steelers back in the playoffs. Their schedule is ridiculously easy.

Spot on..

It's a very difficult schedule. It's also a QB driven league, AD puts the team on his back and goes off like a Luck, Rivers, in recent years I think the Bengals will go to the playoffs. Those QBs had less or not as good of weapons also.

Cincy has built the team around AD and it's time for him to elevate his game. It would impress me and everyone a lot more if he came out and said I'm gonna play this season out, then show them why I should be paid 15 million. I don't think he trust himself enough to do that. I fear he could be a pitcher that teams are starting to figure out (take Green away) make him force tight passes into small spaces.

I'm not the biggest AD supporter on the field at least. I've always looked at him as a Chad Pennington but he's not even to that level yet. Maybe in 2014?
