April 22, 201412 yr Louisville's ACC schedule for 14-15 has been released: Home: Clemson Duke North Carolina North Carolina State Miami Notre Dame Pittsburgh Virginia Virgina Tech Away: Boston College North Carolina Syracuse Florida State Miami Virginia Georgia Tech Pittsburgh Wake Forest
April 22, 201412 yr No disrespect meant but this takes UL to a different level, they will get a TON more national coverage than they have in the past throughout the season. It's all good for the Cards!

April 22, 201412 yr Duke, UNC, Pitt, and Virginia all in the Yum next year. Can't wait! And no trip to South Bend!
April 22, 201412 yr Author Not to be deliberately contradictory, but they got plenty of national coverage in the Big East. Beat me to it.
April 22, 201412 yr Will the ACC have 2 divisions in basketball? No. The teams in bold represent the four home-and-home series. Every team in the league has four teams they play twice. I believe the press release said that Louisville will play both Pitt and Virginia twice every single year with the other two home-and-home matchups rotating through the rest of the league's teams. ...the league's really hammering us with this UofL/Virginia thing. They're Louisville's permanent opponent from the other football division and now a permanent home-and-home on the basketball schedule.
April 22, 201412 yr Louisville got a pretty favorable schedule for being the new kid, IMO. No doubt: Duke, NC State, and Notre Dame all at home with no return trip. Of course, the ACC folks have no reason to know about Louisville's history of nightmare trips to South Bend. Only one game with Duke and Syracuse; would have been easy to hit Louisville with two against the Orange for sure.
April 22, 201412 yr Not to be deliberately contradictory, but they got plenty of national coverage in the Big East. ACC gets more national coverage than the Big East did and it's not even close. Big East was great Basketball probably even better than ACC, but even Big East Centric ESPN over blows everything in the ACC more than they did the Big East. Casual fans across the country couldn't name 4 Big East teams...ACC is a much better known product.

I don't know the expression on your face right now, but I'm going to make the assumption and proceed as follows: You're going to sit there with a straight face and tell me that if you had asked a casual fan to name four Big East teams in 2009, they couldn't have done it? ESPN blows up for Duke/UNC to be sure, but apart from that, is the league any more hyped up? I think your memory of the old Big East has faded much in just one short year.
April 22, 201412 yr Add this to Minnesota, Indiana, and Kentucky in the non-conference and we're in for a fun season. If only the first two weren't super-boring neutral site games...
