NKY Bandit
With wins by SK, Holmes and Cov Cath the tally is Kenton County 3 and Boone County 0 in boys state basketball championships. Being roughly the same size and number of schools, is it time for a Boone County school to win a state BB title? Interesting to note that the 3 Kenton titles have been won by a public, public/city and Catholic school.
gchs_uk9
Maybe the Holmes and Covington Catholic titles add pressure, but trading on a Simon Kenton title that was won twenty years before any current player was even born probably isn't causing much consternation. That's fair if you only consider the most recent history...but 3-0 sounds better than 2-0.

That's not pressure...matter of having better players...and getting a good draw.
75center
Doubt if another county's tally ever enters anyone's mind so no, no pressure added.

FanofMany33
I'll spice the story up for y'all! How about………….does these three Kenton County Schools winning State Basketball Championships put pressure on Boone County schools to move to "Open Enrollment"? Maybe then, but for now I see no pressure.
Clyde
The only people who may be under pressure are those players on next year's CCH team. They're going to have to hear "well, last year....."

JBSmash
Yes- everyone should go to open enrollment because that is what high school sports are about. If one school is down we should also be able to transfer to the "hot" school so that we can win a state championship. Everyone should be able to recruit just like college athletics. It would also be great for all of the crazy parents. Great idea! Amazing how many people truly believe that there is a level playing field to all of the "state championships" and even more amazing the people that will argue this moronic point on here.
