I'm not sure how anyone can leave The Ville off the list when talking about top 17u teams. They won the state AAU tournament 2 years ago and they came in second last year, beating Louisville Magic and Hoop Dreams, before losing to Next Level. Five out of their eight players, Evan Hall, Jax Levitch, Brandon Johnson, Keifer Dalton and Michael Stafford, were invited to try out for the KY Junior All Star team.

I've watched them this year and Hall, Levitch, Brandon Johnson and Will Parker have played great!!

I agree. 17U state should be a good one.

17u will be a great tournament this year! Im counting down the days till the start. Now, who has a list of sleeper players to watch?

Travelers 16u had added Kam Moore from Aiken...adding him to the front court will make them extremely tough to beat.

5 star rankings doesn't have a ky team in top 25 @ any age group. Hoop Dreams got best of the rest in 17u. I would love for just one year to put the best ky kids together at each age and whip the crap out of them to show the true talent we have.

With AAU teams getting back together in the next 2 weeks or so, I wanted to bump this back up to the top.

I know you are always on top of things, Walter, but are you sure about Moore and the Travelers? His name still appears on the OBC roster. Or is it maybe a one-tournament arrangement?

Committed to play for the Travelers then backed out literally a day later

Does anyone know which team Andrew Taylor from Corbin playing with this summer. I believe he would either be in the U-15 or U-14 age group.

Andrew Taylor plays with the Kentucky Gators. They are competing in the national AAU championship in July. The past 2 years they have finished 4th and 5th. We look forward to seeing how they stack up. Andrew is averaging 23 ppg, 7 rebounds, and 5 assts. The age is 14U.

I am assuming he is an incoming freshman? Those are some nice numbers. What position does he play and how tall is he?

He was the starting PG as an 8th grader last year for Corbin, and it seems like they listed him at 6'0 or 6'1".

Andrew Taylor started varsity as an 8th grader at Corbin High School. He is 14 and 6'2". He is a combo guard.

Who is the top AAU program 15U, 16U, 17U this spring/ summer in state of ky. I was in attendance at the Knoxvegas Heat Invitational and basically got to see all the top programs in the state at the 16U level and I will say the 2016 class is loaded. We even had a state represenative TEAM MANIMAL coached by Maze Stallworth go 7-0 in the tourney. Beating Nike sponsored teams like Team United, Alabama Premiere, Game Elite (JJ Hickson).

15U: matt mustanga, hoop dreams, shining stars, kentucky heat

16U: Team Manimal, louisville MAgic, TBC Elite, Kentucky Heat

17U: Hoop dreams, Louisville Magic, Travelers, next level retros

Based on actual performances in the first part of the season:

17U: Travelers, Hoop Dreams and The Ville. Travelers qualified for Peach Jam. I believe The Ville beat Hoop Dreams and won state but Hoop Dreams did very well in 2 major tourneys.

16U: Hoop Dreams, KY Heat and Louisville Magic. I believe the Magic beat Hoop Dreams at state but Hoop Dreams did well in major tourneys including a blow out win over Manimal and beating the Travelers (both in the Nike Memorial Day Classic). The Heat beat the Magic to win state.
