I know quite a few Tennessee fans. Asked them if they hated Pearl now that he was at Auburn. The answers from the two that responded...."Hell no, why would I? He was a stud." and "I've got a second team to root for now".....

It's pretty simple. Pearl left UT on probation, and now he a going to a school in the same conference that UT may have to play as many 4 times a year. He's more than likely going to elevate the Auburn program about Tennessee. Trying to beat you for conference championships. Pitino left UK in tbe best shape it had been in for decades. He left for the NBA. it's a no brainer to everyone but the irrational UK fans.

Never said they would, just that they would have more reason to than UK fans do for Pitino. It further proofs my point of how ridiculous and childish the hate for Pitino is for a lot of UK fans.

How can you hate on Pitino? He left UK in great shape and went to follow his dreams in the NBA. I can't fault him for that. Yeah, it didn't work out like we all knew it wouldn't but were we supposed to just push Tubby aside and take Rick back? No way. I love that he came back to Kentucky even if it was for the other team. It just shows how much love he has for the bluegrass state as a whole.

Now, the stuff that happened to him in that restaurant? Who am I to judge? That's between him and his Maker. I still love him! I just wouldn't accept any dinner invite from him!

 

I'm glad that Bruce Pearl is back in coaching where he belongs and can still pull that ugly orange jacket out of the closet for special games! I'm sure UK will be one of those games.

Basketball to Kentucky and Louisville is much different than basketball to Tennessee and Auburn. Apples to oranges.

Love the style of ball he coaches. SEC instantly better IMO.

He stepped off the plane today like a rock star, I love his moxy. Great hire for Auburn and the SEC.

I hate this as a UK fan. He is a solid coach and Auburn has resources to build basketball. Good move by War Eagle, IMO.

Yep absolutely...maybe he can go to Kansas when Self comes to UK to replace Cal in 4 or 5 years

Cal did say that although he didn't know how long that he thought that 10 years would be the limit for a coach at U.K. - due to the pressure, stress and work that the U.K. job demanded out of a man.

Self would be just great with me, definately#1, no lower than 2 on my short list to contact - at least offer.
