You say it's been answered. The most answers I've seen have all said Duke is ranked way too high. No one has really addressed why they are ranked higher than teams like NC etc. But thanks for being a troll RockPride. Wouldn't expect anything other than that from you. P92 did try to justfy it, bt had no reason why they went from #16 back to #4 with losses. That is what still puzzle me.

Duke moved up in what was considered a very impressive loss AT THE TIME (which is what everyone has been saying, AT THE TIME, is what impacts polls). After they lost to Syracuse they moved from 17 to 11, which was higher than even I thought....they got up to 5...and then lost to Carolina, but didn't move, because of 2 reasons: 1 - everyone around them was losing, 2 - they played 4 games in 10 days and went 3-1 (beating 'Cuse), again due to attrition they moved up 1 spot, putting them at 4. They then lost to Wake, and then beat a lightning hot Carolina team.....They may move down, I am betting if so, it won't be much, because, again, many have lost around them. It's when and who you lose to, it's how you lose, and who loses around you. Lastly, the general population knows that Duke is substantially better than UK, that's why they remain in the top ten, and UK will exit tomorrow.

Actually all I ever hear from Duke fans are things like you stated. Never anything of substance but instead always talking about thing that have nothing to do with the topic.

I will try this again. Why does Duke always get ranked high despite their record? Forget the UK comparison. NC #14 yet with the same amount of losses as Duke. NC ranked higher than Duke in the ACC with less losses in conference than Duke including beating Duke already. Yet going into yesterdays game Duke was #4 nationally and NC #14

I don't like dUKe, UNC, Georgetown, UNLV, or any other team that UK may play.

 

I like mid-majors, sorry for using that term, such as Butler, Wichita State, Murray State, etc.

Now to comment on this post. It is a very flawed

Logic when you say if they are ranked too high then they will get bounced earlier. That is wrong wrong and wrong. Don't you realize the higher you are ranked you get an easier draw? Surely you understand that. If you are a 2 seed you will play a 15 seed first. Last I checked a 15 seed team is worse than say a 10 or 12 seed for example.

 

A few people have said the same thing you said and are all wrong. Do you really think a team if given a choice would rather be a 15 seed than a 2 seed?
