What exactly happened in that situation? Someone refresh my memory.

In my years attending the state tournament I have never witnessed such vitriol against one school as I have Cordia. Either they are the most heinous abusers in the state or someone really doesn't like them. I am not here to say they are clean or dirty. I am just saying there is real, live hatred against the program. I have had conversations with many of their opponents fans over the past 2 years and its as bad as I have seen/heard. I took some with a grain of salt and others seem to have legitimate beefs.

 

(yes, even worse than when LexCath had a real nice team a few years back and the wolves were howling).

 

Will be interesting how it plays out.

 

On the court, it could be the most hotly contested region in the state. 4 or 5 teams could come out of there and are all very close IMO.

 

Makes for some fun times at the Hyatt bar come Sweet 16.....

They have been raiding the other 2nd Region teams players for years, especially in the 90's. It is nothing new.

 

If a racial slur was uttered by Johnson, I can at least understand Chapman's anger, however you still can't do that.

I knew they were put on probation back in the 80s-90s for recruiting, but wasn't sure if that was what you were talking about. Didn't know they were apparently still doing it.

I don't think he said anything. I've seen Johnson play and he doesn't seem to be the kind of player/kid that will say something. I seen him at the regional tournament last season and he was nice about everything during the game. He just doesn't seem to be the kind of kid that's gonna say something like that

They got Lyon County's best scorer, Trigg's best scorer, and 2 of the best freshmen from the Christian County system, all this year.

Lawnboy13...Because that would be the only thing, "I would assume", that would set Chapman off to throw a punch like that. Am I wrong to assume this :idunno:

I watched JJ play a lot over the summer...kid plays with a swag. Especially in games like that. Don't doubt he didn't say anything. I almost guarantee he did. Still, that doesn't warrant him getting hit like that.
