MSU-70 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I have heard some rumors but I didn't know if anyone had heard who the next head football coach is there?
BIG BLACK JACK Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 99.9% sure it will be Mike Rogers who just stepped down from Warren Central.
sweet16 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 WPSD just posted on Facebook that he has been hired
snakesnot_2000 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 It will be interesting to see how they like running the wing t. I don't see it.
Harry Doyle Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 It will be interesting to see how they like running the wing t. I don't see it. Don't know why they wouldn't. All they have to do is look at John Hardin, who probably wins 3-4 titles if not for Highlands and BG who nobody else (public or private for that matter) can beat in our state. Scott County. Meade County. And, I'd be willing to bet that athletically, PT is just as good if not better than all of those places.
kypride Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Rogers won 73% of his games at WC with a very similar talent base. Now he will be 2 classes lower for the playoffs.

And year in, year out, athletically better than every school in the class with maybe exception to Louisville Central....which, in the last few years, I'd say that was a draw w/ maybe a slight edge to Tilghman in that department. But, they play 10 times, it's probably 5-5.
DragonFire Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 It's an outstanding hire. I just hope the fans of the program give him a bit easier of a time than they gave Wyatt.

I don't know Wyatt at all, but 2-3 State Semi trips. A state title in '09, and it never seems like he could catch a break. Heck, I remember in '09 when they won it and it seems like all you heard was "Well, 3A was down", and that was from from of the Tilghman "faithfull" that you would see on sites.

And there is a lot of legitimacy with those notions. Every region has their bad teams. 1st Region 3A was set up on a platter for Tilghman and they struggled to find their way often times. I have never met Wyatt, but he never had the best reputation. Edited February 21, 2014 by bugatti
OptionFootball Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Coach Wyatt is an outstanding person/football coach/football player. Problem is the Jesus syndrome!! Even Jesus no matter what took place was never excepted in his home town. Seen this many times. So many times the natives are jealous of what others are able to accomplish. This is sad, but the way things are taking place. You can be the best COACH in America, but if you make the wrong person mad or Look bad then you are expendable. The day is coming that no one will coach. It does not matter the program (WINNER/loser), you see coaches moving or getting out at a higher rate than ever before. Best of Luck to Coach Rogers and to Coach Wyatt, both fine men and coaches.

And, I'd be willing to bet that athletically, PT is just as good if not better than all of those places. Not saying it's not a good hire but I wonder if the fans or players will like the Wing T. Me personally I would rather watch the spread vs the Wing T.
Carlosknows1 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Not about watching it is about winning, He will be successful at PT running it just like many other programs across the state are at running it. Best of luck to Mike and PT
snakesnot_2000 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I think Rogers likes the duck hunting in Ballard too.
