In all seriousness if our Secretary of State wants to take action related to an international environmental catastrophe maybe he should stop by Japan and see what help they need with the Fukushima nuclear site. A US company built the facility. It would seem that the US should be offering assistance since that is more serious immediate threat.

The side opposite the alarmists that also chirp very loudly, proclaiming it's all bull and completely false. That's as untrue as saying we are to blame for everything. And the real is answer is we really can't be sure. Now this has grown into such a silly political argument, that neither side is willing to listen to reason. We should be able to agree on doing what we can to minimize what impact we have.

No one I know, including on this board is against cleaner air, water and environment. However, we aren't stupid either and don't want to fund these pet projects.

And a serious question.

 

What is today's terror color? Or has that (fear-mongering) system been scrapped?

Like everything else with Obama, I wouldn't be surprised if it's been ramped up even higher.

The bigger issue here is that it seems global warming seems to be causing John Kerry's face to be melting. There's more chemicals in his cheeks than in the atmosphere

Climate change of enough magnitude can impact the food supply so if you like to eat it does matter. In theory it will also melt the polar caps and raise ocean levels - if you have any beachfront property.

 

Warming (and cooling) on a global scale exist. But can you or I or a government stop it or change it? Almost certainly not. One good large scale volcano event like the Krakatoa eruption of 1883 and we will all be wanting anthropogenic to be real since we will need a warm up after the ash blocks the Sun's energy and the crops in the US struggle or fail.

 

If Yellowstone blows, well.. it won't be pretty.
