Ballard, Scott Co., Hoptown 1-2-3 in boys’ hoops

Ballard heads into the last week of the regular season in the same spot it was before the season began: No. 1 in boys’ basketball. Scott County, riding an 18-game winning streak, is No. 2. Hopkinsville, which is 20-0 against Kentucky competition, is No. 3.

I think Dixie should be ranked.

 

Six of their seven losses have come against teams in this top 25 list. Dixie also has wins over two of the teams listed.

Even though I'm a homer, I can't believe that Mason County is ranked.

 

Montgomery County is too low. Holmes is too high.

2 and 6 against top 25 teams and coming off of a big loss, should be at least in the top 10.......

Montgomery County is too low. Holmes is too high.

 

I've got Mason Co in the top 25. Not so much they've earned it as they haven't done anything to prevent them from having a spot. I like the win at Lex Cath and the win at Rowan is decent. Worst loss is to a Johnson Central team that is not too far from being ranked.

I was surprised too, but glad another 10th region team made the rankings.
