Derrick Rhoden he was legit 7'0 maybe even a little bigger.

Wasn't he at Brossart the year Bracken County upset them?

Who was the kid I'm referring to played around the same time as Shooty Staggs??

Cooper was probably 6'4" or possibly 6'5". I think Hornsby was probably taller.

Didn't Brossart have a 7 footer?

I played pick up games against Scott in the old Western Elementary Gym back in the day and no way he was taller than 6'3-6'4

Yes.

Anyone remember Ike Poe that played at St. Pat?? He had to be at least 6'9" wasn't he?

Harrison County

Rob Ogden had to be around 6'10''

Travis Northcutt was around 6'8''

Who would GRC's be goldie?

We have several that were tall. The heights are close to what I remember.

Andrew Preston 6'11 went on to play at Belmount and pro in China

Wes Burtner 6'8 Belmount

Vinny Zollo 6'9, Western, Juco in Florida at present

Travis Pervis 6'8, Alice Lloyd

Jaylan Daniels 6'8, juco in Texas, Georgetown at Present

Andrew Howell 6'9, Alice Lloyd

Cory Rogers 6'6, football at UT Martin at present

Bo Harris 6'8, playing pro in Canada at present

These are the ones I think of at the top of my head at 2:00 in the morning.....:lol2:

When I was at GRC for the Mason Co/GRC game I was amused by a comment from a GRC fan. He was talking about the size of Mason Co's team and asked "Why can't (GRC) ever get anybody that tall." My mind immediately went back to the 2011 Cardinals. Per the Sweet 16 roster they went:

PG-6'

SG-6'4

SF-6'6

PF-6'9

C-6'5

6th Man-6'7

7th Man-6'2

8th Man-6'6

12th Man-6'10

How quickly people can forget.

What a run of 3/4 years of pretty good players and very little to show for it.....

They had a 6 year stretch with 3 region titles with quarterfinal losses at the Sweet 16 to the 7th region each year, along with 2 region runners-up. 3 region players of the year.

In those 6 years they were eliminated twice by the state champion, once by the runner-up and twice by a state semifinalist.

I'm sure the losses to Mason Co in the region championship in 2010 and to Eastern in the Quarterfinals in 2011 both hurt, but I doubt there are many teams in the state that would be disappointed with that kind of run.

Alright I'll show my age: "Big" Bill Gaines (Paris) 6'9" and 265. Darius Miller & Trevor Setty are a legit 6'8", Bracken had a 6'10" kid back in the 70's that transferred from Mason?, and of course Keaton Belcher and his brother Kane at 6'9"
