You can not like the way he pitches, but you can't deny the numbers he posted. Statistically, Arroyo is one of the best pitchers in MLB during the years he was with the Reds. As a Red, I personally would rank him in the top 20 for sure. Here are where he stacks up as a Red in the all time stats: Wins - #17 Innings Pitched - #17 Games started - #9 Strikeouts - #7 (yes, even as "the whiffle ball pitcher"; more strikeouts as a Red than Gary Nolan, Tom Browning, Don Gullett and many other pitchers I am sure you consider better)

If you take out his horrible year 2 years ago he was pretty freakin good here. Bronson was either all there or all gone. He'd give up 1 run one game and ten 7-10 the next game. It happens to pitchers. Bronson was a heck of an asset the Reds trotted out there

The pitcher with the most wins in MLB since 2004 is Bronson Arroyo. He has averaged 13 wins a season for the past 10 years. If we look at just his time as a Red, since 2006 Arroyo is number one in MLB in wins. To me, the most important stats in baseball is wins and Arroyo is at the top of the list of pitchers.

Well, you can only convince me that wins are the most important stat, the others won't go for it in this thread. I just disagree. He's a mediocre pitcher with longevity and outstanding durability. I know the numbers. I can't say he's one of the greatest Cincy hurlers when he's never been more than a 3 or at the most a #2 starter. I'm sorry, that's the way I see it.
