The Tieman brothers at CCH. Later Roger was a 3 year starter at LVL. and Dan played at Thomas More and later for the Royals. Are their total still posted on the board at CCH?

 

I posted this a little earlier in the thread:

 

Roger & Dan Tieman from Covington Catholic are both in the 1,000 point club. Together they have 2,529 points - from 1953-1958.

 

Impressive, but I do not think they're close to the highest scoring combination when you have the McCarters & Capels who are putting up 2,000+ points per person.

Epople from the West may remember Hopkinsville's Quarles brothers from the mid 80's that won the '85 state championship. Wendell, Jeff, Kenny, and Corey were all on that team along with Lamont Ware. They also had a younger brother (Derrick Quarles) who later player at UHA and was apart of a couple of All-A state championships and later played at Translyvania (sp)

I remember them. Derrick is an assistant at UHA now.

But competing on two totally different planets.

 

It's unfair to compare the Tiemans' accomplishments at the upper level of competiton with the McCarters and Capels who competed at the Divison III level.

 

That being said, Chad McCarter could have played/started/competed with any top flight team against top competition, but would not have racked up the numbers he did in the Grove. Bryant would have been a nice player elsewhere but certainly not a superstar. Ditto the Caples.

These are all impressive numbers.....great numbers ppl.

Combined total - 4,327 career points. They are #1 and #5 on the HC alltime scoring list.

The whole slew of Myrick's from Mason Co have put a lot of buckets up over the years too!

 

How about all of the Jackson's that played there as well? Combined, they would have had to have alot of points.

Heck, this is an easy one - "King" Kelley Coleman, and his kid brother (who, incidentally, never scored a point in his career).

 

Between them, they totaled 4,337 points in their careers ...

Yes he is, Maurice Mack was a senior on that '85 team also, he's the father of Josh Mack from UHA. Unfortunately, I was a senior on the '84 team that was supposed to make the tourney that year.

Matt Hoskins-1512 points, graduated 2001 led team to state, both played on this team

Brett Hoskins-1931 points, graduated 2004 led team to state and All A state, all-time leading scorer at Carlisle
