I've decided to start a new thread. I'm really starting to watch two possible systems next week. The first one may arrive later on Sunday. Can't tell how much if any snow but it really needs to be watched.

Should start getting a read on the possible snow for Sunday tomorrow.

Max temp wise yes NAM is looking colder than GFS.

The GFS is showing lows in the low to mid 30's while the NAM is showing lows in the low to mid 40's. But I wouldn't worry too much about the temps that far in advance. The NAM only goes about 60 hrs into the future. It should get a better read on the temps for Sunday tomorrow. We'll probably see a fluctuation in temps each run until we get closer to Sunday. Not really looking for any snow chances on Sunday until late in the day.

The Nam for Sunday on this run is running a little warmer.

 

The snow chances for Sunday has changed to cover most of the state but as of now it is only 10-20 percent chance. The change from yesterday is now it is showing a chance of snow across almost the entire state where yesterday it wasn't. The percent chance then was 5-10 percent and it was for just the northern most counties.

 

I really haven't had much of a chance to analyse this weekend's weather this afternoon. I should be able to tomorrow. Will be back in the morning with a update.

Just dropped in because I have a little break at work. Just looked at the weather info update released at 5:30 am this morning. Don't have much time and I haven't really got a chance to break what I've read down but here is quick synopsis. I'm thinking, as of now, for parts of south central trough central Kentucky to parts of eastern Kentucky 2-4 inches of snow from Sunday to Monday. This is along a line from Oak Grove to Lexington to Flemingsburg to Portsmouth, Oh. 1-2 inches north of that line towards N.KY. We have possible sleet/ice from just north of Paducah to just north of Cincinnati.

 

I'll be back later this afternoon after I have a chance to look things over and see what happens with the afternoon update.

 

Now I want to add again that this is just a quick look at the info I've read and will more than likely change with the afternoon updates. Could go up or down. We just have to wait and see.

You might want to think about late Sunday's storm. It may linger around until the mid week storm hits.
